We just left, I am not even 1 mile away and already writing a review... Not for a good reason. I will start with the food is fine. Again, just fine. The service was HORRIBLE. Vickie was our server. Her workmates did most of the work for her. They checked on us, refilled drinks, brought chips and salsa... It almost seems personal sometimes when a wait person is this neglectful. The food coming out if the kitchen was a LONG TIME coming but I think that was the same for everyone. Vickie did apologize for the slow service when I had to ask for her to PLEASE just bring the check! By this point we just wanted to LEAVE already. Normally, even with cruddy service I tip really, really good. Normally, with cruddy service I don't become irritated but there was something about this experience... No eye contact. No contact whatsoever. Avoid our table and stop to gossip with others when it's obvious we are VERY READY to leave! Anyway, she missed out on a nice tip.. Just...
Read moreHorrible service. Are they under new management? Sat for about 20 minutes for our waiter to finally bring chips and dip and to ask for our drink orders. Returned with the drinks and said he'd be back to take our order. He lied. Took about 5-10 more minutes for a lady to actually take our order. Took another 15-20 minutes to bring the food and they warned me my plate was hot. It was not. Food wasn't hot. Was boarding the line of cold. Nothing was HOT, almost everything was barely warm and/or cold. Then the guy who said he was going to take our order did come and ask if we wanted our check then apologized stating that someone working was a new employee. Honestly I think they were all new. They barely checked our table. Never asked us if we wanted refills on our drinks. 10/10 would not recommend. Next time I'll travel 30 minutes or longer for better Mexican food. Taco Bell in town would have been a better option. I definitely should have taken my business elsewhere....
Read moreWe've always liked coming to Maria's, but our last visit was disappointing. They were a little busy, so we understood it took a while to take our orders. But then we were told they don't do 2-for-tuesday tacos anymore. You have to buy them 3 at a time. My elderly Mom can barely finish 2 tacos. The 2fer was perfect, and the 3 of us would always order drinks and queso so as to not be total tightwads, lol. But we probably won't be coming as often. Because they also told us they don't do fried flour tacos anymore because it takes too long. I didn't say anything, but that really makes no sense. Just tell the customer that when they order fried tacos... that it will take longer. Then they can decide if it's worth the wait. In our opinion, it is. Hopefully, Maria's will reconsider these issues. We really like coming...
