The best time to go is around lunch, the food is all freshly put out and there is a special (I think they still do it) where the price is a bit less during lunch as well. I don't recommend going in around dinner or when they first open though. Later in the day some of the food tends to be cold and then in the mornings as well it's almost like they put out the stuff from the night before in some of the trays, it has an off taste and a darker color than the food usually is. If you go in when they open, at lunch, and at dinner in the same day the food tastes VERY different each time and the same with temps. So, I will never be eating here again. Just a warning, if you go and have 6 or more people in your party, they do not give you an option to tip. It is automatically put on your bill and they will not remove it. It is not posted anywhere, plus I'm sorry but I don't think that a $13 tip is warrented for someone coming to the table 1 time the whole time we were there. Haven't been here in 7yrs since I worked in Atchison, used to frequent it a lot. Thought the buffet was decent. This time I had to place the order online. I ordered Hunan Pork lunch special, extra order of egg rolls, and steamed dumplings. Even tipped 10%. I live in Winchester. There was no one else but me there.
