Horrendous experience. It looks more like a motel than a hotel. Guests almost got into fights outside their rooms. There was banging on my friend's room door by other guests at 4 am. People were hanging their clothes to dry on the railings and bannisters outside the guest rooms. The rooms looked subpar. The manager did nothing to address these issues or behaviors, however was able to ask for cash in his hand. The manager tried to charge us $120 per night extra to have four people in a double bed room. And he wanted the extra charge in cash. I found that highly suspicious and refused to pay it. I have never heard of a hotel charging per guest for a double room, and asking for cash. He then proceeded to charge our second group of friends $150 in cash for additional guests to stay in their room. They were never provided with a receipt for this transaction. They were not given the option to have the fee charged to the card on file with the hotel when the reservation was made. This is illegal. Wyndham continues to allow this hotel to operate under their name and brand. Wyndham failed to assist in any fashion in resolving this issue. Tryp Wyndham appears to support illegal and criminal activity on behalf of their hotels. If this location is independently owned then Tryp Wyndham should seriously consider severing ties with them to avoid further guest issues. The manager and his colleagues that run the hotel need to be immediately fired and investigated for fraud. Worst hotel to ever stay at under any circumstances. The hotel is operated by men who commit illegal business practices and scams. The manager Sunny R. and his colleagues are racist scammers. They try to charge guests cash under the table to have anymore than 2 guests in a room. After they take the cash, they still have guests sign a contract stating that they will be asked to vacate the premises and their reservation will be canceled if more than 2 guests are in the room. They do not process these additional fees through the system, and they do not provide any form of receipt or documentation of these cash transactions. This would indicate that they are evading taxes as tax is not being collected, and this money is being pocketed by the manager and his co-conspirators. THIS IS ILLEGAL AND CRIMINAL ACTIVITY. THIS IS A SCAM. THEY NEED TO BE REPORTED TO INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE, TRYP WYNDHAM HOTEL GROUP, BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION. Do not stay at this hotel under any circumstances. My reservation was cancelled without my request or permission, which left me stranded 2.5 hours away from home and scrambling to find somewhere to sleep for the next 3 nights. They have the audacity to have signs at the front desk asking for payment for extra guests and hotel parking in cash. I have never heard of such a thing in all my years of travel within the...
Read moreHORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! People please stay away from this property. It is not what it seems like to be in pictures. I stayed over the LABOR DAY LONG WEEKEND and did we make a mistake. I usually like to stay at WYNDHAM Properties but this property is not even close to a hotel. Its a LOW LOW end Motel. They just renovated the premises and just a new paint job for the pictures. But when you get here it is horrible. I drove all the down from Canada thinking that its a Wyndham Property and it will be livable. When we got there the rooms are extremely muggy and smelly. There is hardly any room to put your suit cases with the twin beds. The air conditioning unit is very loud and hard to sleep. There are no towel stands where the sink area is. Same as the showers no place to put the soap bars Shampoos and towels etc.. POOR PLANNING. I understand these are little things but the staff is extremely rude and it seems like they only want your money. I paid close to $400 per night thinking its a Wyndham Property and sure I'll pay the extra but its a total rip off. I checked the rates accross the street at the Tropican Resort and they were cheaper than here. Made a huge mistake booking here. I also tried to use my AAA card and the staff kept neglecting me and then I finally got upset and then they honored it but remember I am on vacation. My whole weekend was ruined by the staffs attitude. Also for the parking they only want CASH !!!! no receipts given btw. Not sure why??? $400 per night and no parking !!! Breakfast is another horrible story. The hours are from 730am to 9am. Seriously???? We are on vacation!!! There is no generosity either with the staff. Everything is short and we cannot take the food to our rooms. Stay out of the pool unless you want skin diseases... Overall folks PLEASE STAY AWAY !!! I would never recommend it to anyone. WYNDHAM should remove their name AAA should also not promote them and investigate the hotel policies Cash business for parking IRS should investigate City should investigate and check the cleanliness of the rooms and...
Read moreThe most worst experience of my entire life dealing with hotels. I booked a room a month ago in advance show up and they tell me that my reservations were canceled meanwhile I had confirmation emails coming in all morning saying that check and was at 3 PM! To top it all off I asked them OK will you be able to help me find another hotel and do something for me call somebody because I just traveled four hours for the weekend, and these people start speaking in another language and I have no idea what they said but it was obviously something not nice and tell me no go drive your car up and down the block I'm sure you'll find something. Also the hotel looks absolutely nothing like the pictures their balcony is not a balcony it's just some walkway no elevator you have to take the stairs there's absolutely no bellhop very unprofessional. And I'm sorry this is America hospitality if you're in that business you need to talk to people with respect not in another language while the customer is right there and treat them like they're literally garbage and tell them I can't help you and I'm sorry we made the mistake no they didn't do any of that telling us go up and down the block you'll find something on your own. These people just want to make a quick dollar and probably a book someone for our hotel room and to top it all off the next day we happen to drive by and they have vacancy . I even called them the next day asking do you have vacancy and the woman said yes we do I am outraged by how unprofessional people could be and how much they lie on their pictures of the hotel and they with dirty it's smelled they were rude I would recommend to never ever stay here we lucked out by getting a good room at the Sheraton which you know what it everything happens for a reason because the area wasn't even that nice and the staff was horrible and they're beautiful pool let me tell you that was not a pool! If I could give this place -100 stars I void that's how much of a horrible...
