I came down last minute to AC with a friend on Saturday and were following the sound of live music while walking off dinner at the mall across from Ceasars on the boardwalk. The bands were part of a St. Patrick's day early celebration, there were about four of them in four separate areas and were all really good! The comedy club was a great find, there was a show that started at 8:30 which was perfect since we just went to dinner and weren't ready to hit the tables yet. I love comedy but it takes a lot to make me laugh and I have to say that this show was excellent! The cover was $20 to get in, a bargain for the quality of the the show and talent performing. They moved it along nicely with a host who did his thing but didn't try to steal the show, solid and professional comedians who kept it moving and a high energy headliner who was nonstop hilarious. The whole thing lasted a little under an hour and a half which was perfect for the vibe. The crowd was into it, I would guess there were about 125 people all together, and there's a regular bar in the room so you can get drinks or food when you want without servers constantly walking by which we preferred. After the show I was talking to Matt, who organizes the shows and runs the room. It's a relatively new spot (open less than a year) and he was telling us how its caught on quickly because there's a need for quality and reasonably priced entertainment in that area. I totally agree! Next time I go to AC I would definitely go back. He even said there's a second show at 10:00 too. Great time!!!!

This is like going to an AA meeting but WITH alcohol. The only thing funny about this place is how rinky-dink it is. Folding chairs to sit but it's a 2 item minimum (like most comedy joints) so you have to hold it the entire show. Then the cram you in next to strangers so tightly it's very uncomfortable and the show was not even close to sold out. They are trying to make you pay to upgrade your seats, which we did but we should have just left. I've been to several other comedy clubs and every other one at least sits you at some kind of table. The security staff are not the kindest and likely go home and watch Roadhouse every night just waiting for their opportunity. Drinks are fine, sound is fine. The "comedians" are not funny. They got very modest polite laughs and mentioned how lame the crowd was all night, but they are not funny. I'm not sure they understand that a joke needs a punch line or a story should be funny if you are going to tell it at a comedy show. It was an utter waste of time and money I cannot recommend doing anything else more than staying to this travesty.

Had a great time! I went by myself and was originally general seating. If your with someone it would be fine. It was a little awkward sitting between two couples. It wasn't a full show so when I got there they had offered the upgraded seats. I declined. But after my first drink, I upgraded to the VIP. Seat was way more comfortable. There was a stand for my drink. And it was right next to the restrooms. View was on the side but I could still see. And bonus, for me anyways, is the comics didn't even glance our way. I came to watch the show, not be a part of it. 😁 I went a second night. Sat 10/12. Show was amazing!! The comics were hilarious! All but the first one actually looked towards our section. Very little interaction but it was nice to see their face straight on. The staff was great both nights. And the drinks were perfect! Not weak but not too strong...just right.

BEWARE LOTS OF HIDDEN FEES AND VERY RUDE

My experience at this comedy club was absolutely horrible, and I will never return. This was my first time at a comedy club, and I expected to have a good time. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. Cost for tickets for three people was about $135 after taxes and fees, which I was willing to pay for a fun 90 minutes of laughing with friends. As someone new to shows like this, I found their policy that each person must buy two items from the menu before leaving to be unclear. The way it is written could be easily misunderstood as referring to two personal items like a purse or phone. They should clarify this policy better. A waiter approached us and insisted that we purchase two items each. As this was my first experience, I told him politely that we planned to have dinner afterward. He raised his voice and said, "No, you have to buy two items each." Feeling super uncomfortable and pressured by the aggressive staff we quickly ordered. We did not want to each anything as we had dinner plans. Feeling pressured, we ordered pretzels from the club for $10 that Auntie Anne’s below the club sells for like 5.00, for which we were charged nearly double. We also ordered two cans of surf sides 16.00 each, that is crazy, barely touched them, and left the plastic shot cup for the next drink since we didn't want it but was forced to purchase. This place feels like a scam with an unpleasant atmosphere. I would never recommend it and will certainly share my experience with others. The showroom was small, the seating uncomfortable, and the show itself was not entertaining. Don't waste your time trying to talk to the manager, as he was just as rude and unpleasant as the wait staff. The only positive part of the experience was the young lady at the front door....

Went this this past saturday may 18th 2019. A friend and I went there to celebrate my birthday. Positives: the comics were mostly funny. The host was funny and the headliner was funny. the second comic. ehh ok. over all I was satisfield with the performaces and would have be willing to go back. No 2 drink minimum wich was great. Good atmosphere.

Negatives. Service service service. The Hostess insisted on seating us up front. We did not want to sit in the front row. The place was not even have way full. She said if we wanted to sit at the tables in the back of the cozy room we had to pay an addition 20 bucks cash. But we wouldnt have to get our own drinks. the tables came with a server. we paid the 20. 10 bucks per person so we wouldnt have to sit up front. we seen our server twice. welhen she tool our drink order and at the end of the show. What piss me off was Other people came in and didnt pay any extra to sit at a table. one group we knew and they bought there tickets via groupon same as us and didnt pay any extra for a table. further more at least one couple came in the back/side entrance toward the end of the show and paid zero. so I guess we paid for them. the hostess was very stern about us sitting up front in a maybe 30% full room. That was wrong. again the comics did their jobs but the service was poor. I understand that this place is fairly new and they need to make it look full but not at my expense and I shouldnt have to pay a surcharge for seating. Its not like i was in vip. Id rather pay a two drink minimum. I really hope management sees this and make it right for me and other guest...

I recently attended a birthday getaway and thought it would be fun to check out a comedy show in the area. However, my experience turned out to be quite disappointing. Upon arriving, I was met with a rather unexpected policy: I had to purchase two items from the bar in order to gain entry to the show.

I approached the manager to seek clarification, but unfortunately, he was quite rude and insisted that this requirement was clearly stated in the pre-purchase notes prior to buying the ticket. However, I found that the note merely mentioned a "two items minimum in the show room." This vague wording left me confused because it mentioned nothing about purchasing from a bar. To avoid any issues, I ended up buying four items, since I had brought a guest along with me and it's "per person."

When we finally made our way to the show room, I was taken aback by the setup. The seating consisted of cramped, uncomfortable folding chairs that were stacked on top of one another, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the show. And here's the kicker, the four items I had to purchase ....they didn't even provide a table. So we had to hold them for the entire show.

As the show began, I had high hopes, but sadly, only one comedian was genuinely funny. The rest of the acts failed to elicit even a chuckle, leaving me feeling bored and unimpressed 😐. Overall, the entire experience felt like a letdown, and I cannot recommend this comedy show to anyone. The prices for tickets and drinks were also unreasonably high for the quality of entertainment and...
