Absolutely disappointing. My husband and I used to frequent Seaport Village Inn over 15 years ago when it was amazing. With wonderful views, shuttle service, and a "continental" breakfast (though the breakfast was weak with tiny pastries and coffee), the immaculate rooms and views made up for it. Those days, however, seem long gone. There is no shuttle service, and the "breakfast" is no longer, and rooms are lacking. We stayed in the "deluxe 1 bedroom, two queen, room," which does have a kitchen. Here's our experience: The room smells old, as if it hasn't been cared for in 15 years. Damage and wear are everywhere. The walls have water damage, and chipping paint everywhere, the bathtub tiling is falling apart, and the kitchen has a story of its own. Shortly after arriving and sitting on the toilet, I made the unpleasant discovery that there was no toilet paper at all. After yelling for my husband at put him into a frantic search, he was able to locate a box of tissues. When I reported this to the lobby, the response was, "Oh sorry, the cleaning lady probably forgot, she was in a rush." (really???) The kitchen is a comedic disaster. Opening the cupboards felt like stepping into a time warp. The inventory is comical: one tiny blue plastic cup, two blue plastic bowls, three matching plates, one small plate, one big random plate, one ceramic bowl, and several mismatched cups. It looks like a toddler tried to put away the dishes. The other cupboard had only one plate and one bowl, making you stand there tilting your head wondering "why?". The utensils drawer was even better, about ten butter knives, one fork, no spoons, one steak knife, and a rogue 9-volt battery. The other drawer held a bunch of ancient cooking utensils that should've been retired years ago. The kitchen sponge was clearly used, and though the refrigerator was clean, the door swings awkwardly the wrong way, making you perform a contortionist act to open it. Cabinet doors are worn and could use a facelift. And the microwaves – yes, two of them – one rusted, one new, because why not. The stove is a relic and a museum piece masquerading as a functional appliance. Its once-black surface is now a patchwork of chipping paint, revealing layers of neglect. The dials are worn and barely legible. It's the kind of stove that makes you wonder if it should come with a manual or perhaps a time machine to take you back to when it was last in its prime. Finally, the countertops are chipped and cracked, in some ways looking like a an old map of ancient times. In the bedroom, the heater is old and loud, offering only cold or hot air with no temperature control because the dial that controls it has fallen off into the multi-verse, never to be found. There are two nightstands, only one with a lamp that looks like it came from the 30s. A tiny desk needs repainting, and the sliding glass door to the patio has a poorly applied, creased plastic coating, leaving a 5-inch gap at the top. Back in the bathroom, there is no drain cover, a random black hole in the siding, tiles falling into the wall, and the faucet looks like it's held together by sheer willpower. As we left for dinner on our first night, a couple from a floor above asked about our room. When I mentioned the smell and disrepair, they confirmed their room was also aweful, with a big hole in the wall, chips in the painting and a terrible smell. It's a shame to spend premium dollars for a room in such poor condition. It is unlikely we will be returning to Seaport Village Inn. Warning to others: This is not even a you get what you pay for situation, you pay at a premium and get something far far far less. Message to the owners: "Do better."

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK Seaport village inn is an old hotel with rooms that appear to be rarely cleaned. The photos do not represent the filth these rooms have. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SPENDING YOUR MONEY ON A DIFFERENT HOTEL THAT IS CLEANER. Location: 2/5 - There is a 10 min walk from the main ferry drop off zone to the hotel which is not too bad. You have to head up a steep hill to get to the resort. The resort does not have any large signs displaying the name. The resort is around 3-5 mins away from the main shopping area and 3-5 mins away from the beach. Service: 3/5 - The lady in the front office seemed kind but kept deflecting our question about the 30$ charge not stated in the original price which included coffee, wifi access and a Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi was probably 4 feet wide and in what looked like a greenhouse/jungle gym. The wifi had a very poor connection with 2 bars. There was also a 50 dollar fee if you wanted to check in 3 hours early. Room: 1/5 - When I got to the room, the door was very hard to open. The door got stuck so I had to really push with my body to open it. Entering the room, it felt like I took a time machine back to the 80's. It was very disappointing seeing a dirty room. There was a strong odor that hit instantly. The area near the door had tile while the rest of the room had carpet that had stains in it. The sofa looked like it was from the 80's and the cabinets looked very worn. I knew that the hotel was an older one but I thought they would at least refurnish it. The room was large like a mini apartment . The light switches were all around the room. I had to test all of them to see where they were connected to. The random light switch placement followed throughout the rooms. There was mold on the sides of the walls and some of the paint was chipping. There was a janky little tv in the corner of the wall with a mess of wires. The remote was in an old cabinet that looked like dust had been collecting for months. The blue sofas had an old design and the legs looked like they would give up soon. The AC was loud and went checked off randomly throughout the night. There was a secret bed in a secret compartment in the wall. The kitchen was no better. The cabinets had dust in them with random cups, plates and bowls that looked very old. One cabinet had the utensils which included 2 forks and 10 knives. The stove had paint chipping off and an old rusty pan in it. The refrigerator seemed like it came straight out of a horror movie. When I opened it, the lights began to flicker. I put some of my snacks in the fridge and closed it. When I came back later in the day, the snacks had frozen because the freezer leaked into the fridge. The seats looked like old barstools with an uncomfortable, tough cushion. There were cabinets in the kitchen island that had an old football and a white slipper that was growing mold. The cabinets looked like they have not been cleaned in years. The bathroom was probably the most decent room. It was the least dirty of them all. It was a very compact roomz probably 8ftx6ft. The toilet took 15-20 seconds to flush and left the smell of sewage after for a few hours. The sink was very weak and barely spewed water. The shower had old soaps left either by the hotel or other visitors. The showerhead had old hair on it and was very low. The curtains had no plastic divider so it just got wet and stank after. The inside of the shower had 3 empty dispensers with soaps and shower gel. The floor had old mix-match tiles that had cracks in-between that were unpleasant to stand on. The room had an open closet without a door. There was an old blanket and a hard pillow. The bed had a very rough old mattress. Blankets were very thin and barely covered me. The room had the light switch in the opposite corner of the room. There was also a sliding door that did not lock, so I was paranoid someone would break in. There was no AC so the room was very warm. When I told the front desk they said leave the door open. I obviously did not since it's not safe to leave...

Let's start with the few positives: The hot tub was nice, the lawn area out front was nice with tables/chairs and cornhole set up, and taking the shuttle to the helipad to leave was easy. Location is decent, not great.

And that's where the good things end.

When we arrived from the ferry, we called the hotel to get the shuttle to pick us up, we were told because we didn't book directly thru them, we were not allowed to use the shuttle. We ended up walking (Google maps said 11 min) which turned out to be a mistake on our part with luggage because it's all flat until you have to go up the hill to the hotel.

Upon check-in, the man working the desk didn't seem to know some basic things. We asked for a mini-fridge for the room to store meds, he looked as us like we had 3 heads and inquired as to what a "mini-fridge" is. However, we were able to store meds in the fridge at the front desk, surely a HIPAA and/or ADA violation.

We then found our room, possibly the worst accommodations I have ever experienced. I've stayed in roadside motels that were nicer than this. Our entrance was a sliding glass door with a sticky lock, there was no screen so we couldn't leave it open for the evening/night because bugs exist. There was no window or other natural light source.

In the room, there was very little storage space for clothes and things. Everything was dated and had the appearance of little to no upkeep. There was a single, small wall A/C unit with the temperature displayed in Celsius, not Fahrenheit. The filter was filthy and maintenance had to clean it. Multiple buttons on it were either broken and missing, or just not working in general - luckily there was a remote included. However dated and foreign, it seemed to work once we figured it out.

The single-cup coffee maker on the table was left uncleaned. Imagine our surprise when we opened it to find someone else's used coffee bag still inside. Gross!

We could hear noise and talking from the room next door due to thin walls.

The TV on the wall was small but worked.

The bathroom was very dated but mostly worked. The toilet had a very weak flush and took 2-3 tries to send all the unspeakables down. The towels were about as cheap quality as money can buy, very thin. The room did not have a hair dryer - we had to ask for it at the front desk - and it was broken. We attempted to use the hair dryer in question, and it was completely dead. We tried multiple outlets and reset the fuse on the plug multiple times with zero success.

The Wi-fi was terrible - weak signal and very slow speeds if any connection at all. The floor seemed dirty as well.

Finally, the bed was atrocious. The mattress may as well have been a slab of concrete with a few springs attached underneath. The pillows were lumpier than a cirrhotic liver. And finally, when I asked my girlfriend, "what do you think the thread count on these sheets is?" Her answer was, "One." I slept (poorly) maybe 3-4 hours total and woke up in pain, she didn't fare much better.

Due to this, we checked out early after a mere one night and not even a full 24 hours on the island. The intelligence-lacking man at the front desk could not seem to comprehend this concept when we told him we were leaving, but eventually figured it out. We asked about a refund for the next nights and he looked confused and said, "that sucks, you came here to relax," about our poor sleep. After this, we were finally able to use the shuttle to get to the helipad for our ride back home.

We tried emailing the hotel to ask for a refund but after 48 hours, have not gotten a reply. Safe to assume the service is as bad as the room.

In conclusion, the hot tub and front lawn area was nice but everything else was absolutely horrible. I would not even recommend this place to my worst enemies. This hotel ruined what was supposed to be a pleasant and relaxing trip. We made it to the island for less than 24 hours of what was supposed to be a 4 day, 3 night stay. I can safely blame that on these...

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. If you could rate a 0 I would. Before I booked I called over and over only to get a message. The message gave one option to speak to someone. That option also never got answered. I wanted a hotel with a jacuzzi. I just hiked the Catalina trail and was sore and beat. This hotel advertised a jacuzzi. My calls were to confirm it was open. Since humans do not answer the phone I took a chance a booked on the hotel website. When I arrived the first thing I saw was an empty, broken dirty jacuzzi. I went to to the check out person who was a rude young lady. I told her that I have been calling all day to confirm the jacuzzi was working. She denied that phones were not being answered and said that there are no missed calls. So, calling me a liar. I repeated the exact message back to her. I was able to do so because I had heard it so many times. She still denied it. I told her to look at my call log. She said she would not do that because she did not have any missed calls. I asked for a refund so I could go somewhere else. She refused to even entertain the idea. repeating the same sentence over and over while also refusing to connect me with the manager. NOW FOR THE REALLY GROSS STUFF. I have video and I wish I could post it. The bathroom floor had dark long hairs on it. The tiles on the sink were broken, the bedding had the same hair on it. The table was broken and paint chips and gouges on it. The air conditioner was so dirty and smelly. The shower was dirty with no plug, just an open hole with broken parts. I used the toilet it would not flush and when I looked down on the side of the toilet floor and behind it I saw the most disgusting site. Mold, dirt, scum, filth and ready for this. Thick globs of white goop (I think you can guess what it was) staring right back at you. I wanted to puke. You cant call the front desk because there is no phones. So I have to walk down to the desk to tell them. A repair person shows up to repair the toilet along with the rude girl from the desk. He decides this is a goos tie to teach her about toilet repair. He coaches her on the repair then comes out and says it is fixed and everything is taken care of. Well, shortly after I have to use the toilet again. SHOCKER still broken. So now with a toilet full I have to leave and walk down to the office again (because there are no phone and the front desk does not answer the incoming calls on the reservation line. She tells me that she will send the guy back. After a while she comes and tells me that he says the toilet is fixed. I just need to push down hard and hold it throughout the entire flush from beginning to end. The nasty globs of white cream and the other disgusting crap and hairs are still on the floor. This is not all folks! Then the bathroom light shuts off by itself and also shuts ff the TV. After 15 seconds the light comes on but the tv does not. So you have to turn on the tv again. This continues over and over. I am getting tired of restarting the tv so many times. Clearly there is a short in the walls electrical. So once again I have to walk down to the desk and tell them about the electrical problem and I tell her I am going to dinner. Please fix all the problems before I am back. When I get back all the hair, white plops, and filth were still there and I was told the repair man said there is nothing wring with the electrical. Again insinuating that I am making it up. Not to mention drink machines are broken so you can not buy a water or anything. Now remember I just finished hiking part of the Trans Catalina trail and I am 100% exhausted, hurt and sore. Why would I want to do anything but lay down and rest. This is the worst place ever. They never offered any sort of restitution. And denied all my requests for discounts. WORST HOTEL, WORST SERVICE, STAY AWAY. Like I said I have pictures and video if anyonr wants to challege...
