This place is truly a hidden gem in Catalina. They are always booked up but I was fortunate enough to snag a king bed room with a sofa sleeper and jacuzzi tub for 4 nights. This place truly exceeded my expectations. The place has a very beachy feel which added to my relaxing solo vacation. It is very well maintained, quiet and peaceful. It is located just a few steps from the beach and off the beaten path of the Main Street but close enough to quickly join the crowds. My room was AMAZING (509). Anytime I needed something (including locking myself out of my room!), I was immediately able to get ahold of someone and they quickly took care of things. The staff is also super friendly and work very hard to keep things looking beautiful and clean. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the AC was great to have (also has a ceiling fan option) and the TV, refrigerator and microwave were all added bonuses that came n handy. My room was a ground floor and the only minus is you can hear everyone walking above since there is no carpet. But earplugs fixed that problem quickly (I always travel with a pair just incase). The water pressure was lower than i usually prefer but I’m patient and it didn’t really bother me. The WiFi was slow in the mornings but fine after 1pm or so. They have a small room that has coffee and refreshments available 24/7 which was a nice touch. I really enjoyed the fire pit and met and mingled with some nice folks while there. It’s relaxing to sit by the fire pit and listen to the lapping waves. I highly recommend this establishment and will be staying here when in Avalon...
Read moreI booked a 2 night stay at $1200/night starting on July 10th. I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I became ill on July 3rd and knew I would not be able to travel. I called the hotel on July 3rd to cancel, but the hotel said I was too late to cancel, they kept the $2400. The hotel policy is that you can cancel at 7 days out for a full refund, but I guess 10 - 3 does not equal 7. Greasy!
The response from the owner: Response from the owner 11 hours ago We’re truly sorry you became ill and couldn’t travel, and we hope you’re feeling better. For clarity, Catalina Courtyard Suites’ cancellation policy requires cancellations outside 7 days of arrival. For a July 10 check-in, the deadline was by July 2 (PT). Your call on July 3 fell inside the 7-day window. Because July is our busiest season on Catalina Island, late cancellations are difficult to rebook. Even so, we offered a credit voucher toward a future stay as a courtesy. We understand you preferred a full refund and pursued a chargeback; after reviewing the documentation, the bank upheld the original charges consistent with the policy agreed to at booking. We never want a guest to feel disappointed. If you’d like to discuss options for a future visit to Avalon—or to apply the credit we offered—please reach out to our team directly. We’d be grateful for the chance to host you when the timing is right and provide the warm hospitality our guests expect at Catalina Courtyard Suites.
Then your website is dishonest, if the cancellation dead line is July 2. 10-2=8, State that you need to cancel 8 days out. As I...
Read moreWe recently stayed at Catalina Courtyard Suites for two nights in the Panoramic Ocean View Suite, and it was a truly memorable family getaway. ||The suite was well-appointed, spotless, and comfortable. The beds were cozy, and the ocean and bay views from the living area and balcony were a highlight we never tired of. The large master bath with its jacuzzi-style tub was a favorite for the kids, who absolutely loved relaxing there after our days of exploring.||The location could not have been better. Right in the heart of Avalon, we had easy access to restaurants, piers, shops, and other attractions. The ferry terminal was only a 10-minute walk, which made both arrival and departure stress free.||The check-in process was straightforward. We completed pre-registration online, so all we needed to do was pick up our keys from the front desk. Staff were pleasant and welcoming throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the refreshments available in the lobby all day, from hot beverages to Yoplait and pastries, although those tended to run out by morning. The courtyard was a lovely touch, and the fire pit in the evenings made for a cozy gathering spot for guests.||If there is one thing worth noting, it is the WiFi. It was a bit unreliable, which could be a challenge for anyone needing to work online. Thankfully, cellular coverage around the property was strong, so it did not affect our trip.||Everything else was spot on and made for a fantastic family trip to Catalina. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone...
