I would to first say that tacos are really good here. If that’s THE ONLY thing you’re looking for. I hired Armando (who is the owner and operator of this taco shop) to cater my wedding of 67 guests (I paid for 67 heads, which only 63 attended). The tasting we did prior was amazing. We signed up for his UNLIMITED taco, with topping, rice, beans, fresh chips, guacamole, and churros with chocolate fountain PER HEAD. The day after the wedding, I find out that about 2 and a half of my tables (about 18 or so people) did not get any rice or chips as they were not replenished. They simply ran out. The word unlimited was thrown around so much in conversation between Armando and I prior to the wedding and on the contract. When I brought this to his attention the day after, he would not take any responsibility. He said he brought sufficient amount of food- clearly he did not. “Unlimited” means it gets replenished for the 3 hours that’s stated in the contract. I even sent him screenshots of comments by guests that said they had no rice, food was being rationed (4-5 chips being placed on plate). One of my guests had NO toppings left to put on their tacos. Some didn’t even get churros. Again, no responsibility was taken. So if you are going to hire him for your event, I would strongly suggest you look around for someone with better hospitality and experience in catering events. His reply to me was “ Thank you again for your support 🙏🏻 I really appreciate it. There is always going to be a good and a bad in life but I know there was more good than bad in this situation. No one is perfect, I really hope you had a memorable time with your husband, loved ones, family and friends on Saturday 🙏🏻 and really hope that our food will not be the topic of your wedding but instead your special moments you had with everyone 🙏🏼” Now I did have a memorable time, but knowing some guests were not fed when I paid PER HEAD for unlimited food seems like they cheated and played us. So with that being said, be careful if you choose them to cater your event. Your guests might be left hungry, and your mother (my mom did) get burnt/dry rice from the bottom of the pan which Armando claimed was “fresh”- so now my moms a liar😅. All we wanted to do was support a small local business, but guess this was our mistake. Good luck at running a business with no...
Read moreHorrible customer service from the owner!! If you want to be treated badly go here. Armando, the owner is an old, cheap, stubborn, disrespectful man!!! I placed my payment order for traditional tacos with cilantro and onion on the side because my kids don't like the tacos with them. I made sure to tell him personally as I placed my order with him. At that point he acknowledged my request. Once the tacos were ready they were all served with everything. I told them that was not the way I ordered them. The owner came and now said that if I wanted everything on the side that I needed to pay for the containers. I told him that he could have put everything in the same plate NEXT to all tacos. He proceeded to say that I should have told him that from the beginning. When I tried to correct him by telling him I did tell him to put everything on the side, he proceeded to say I was lying and that I never did. He didn't own his mistake and he put the blame on me for his mistake. That is the part that I am mostly upset for. He does not treat his customers or his employees with respect. Any time an employee tries to provide better customer service they get in trouble. He waters down all the salsas and charges you extra for everything. I really hope that his age is responsible for his stubbornness, rude service and personality. I really hope that he simply forgot how I placed my order. Because his employees and his customers do not deserve that kind of treatment.
Read moreHaving gone to Hagerstown Tacos Carlitos location, we have generally enjoyed the service and food at the Hagerstown location. Decided to give the Frederick location a try, we were immediately let down. First, several items we wanted were not available. We still decided to place an order for alternate items. After receiving our food we ran into major issues. First our child’s bottled lemonade was expired for over a month. Unfortunately he had a sip before noticing. When letting the cashier know about the issue, she had a nasty attitude about exchanging the drink for us. Did not even apologize. The second issue, two of the items we tried to order magically became available after being told they were out of the ingredients. This order was placed 10 min after us from a customer that had asked what my order was and I let them know that I had al pastor nachos, that I would normally get tortas but we were told they were not available. He must’ve brought the ingredients with him when ordering because he was able to get a Torta. Very unsatisfied with the service and food. This location is...
