Horrible experience. The first night we stayed there we had gotten one of the last rooms and it looked like the door had been kicked in because the top lock didn't lock and was barely hanging on, so we had to shove a nightstand infront of the door. The sheets were filthy, and the towels had other people's hair in it. There was also about 10 spiders we saw in the span of about 2hrs before we went to bed. The shower also BARELY worked. We went to check out the next morning and they tried to say we gave them a card deposit but we paid cash, so i sent my boyfriend in because he gives a dont mess with me vibe, and got the money back. (Theyre supposed to keep a record but they didnt both times we gave them a deposit) We went somewhere else the next night but there was a concert and everywhere else was upwards of 250, and they were about 180 or so so we went back. This room had a working lock, but was still dirty, there was a stain on one of the beds but we just let our dogs sleep there. We stayed for about 5 days or so, then the owners waited till we left, and we came back after about an hour because we forgot something, and when we pulled up we saw them all in/standing around the room (that had the do not disturb sign up) we tried telling them we paid for another night and the woman shook her head at us and said no, so we got out to talk to them and they started yelling at us saying we destroyed the mattress and sheets. They then refused to give us 100 dollar deposit back saying our dogs made the stain, and demanded that if we wanted to stay the next night we had to give them 200 extra bucks before 8:30am (checkout is 11) obviously we didn't do that because absolutely not. Do not recommend if you want to feel safe or if you want your money back. (Also if you don't like spiders because I swear I saw...
Read morePeople were all nice (reason for two stars and not one or minus one!) especially the two older gentlemen who came to the room as "housekeeping" however I have never stayed in a room that was truly dirty before. We asked for first floor, non-smoking and it was that but was an ADA room (normally ok too) w a raised toilet seat. Toilet had someone else's bodily fluids on it...there when we arrived. Sink had black stuff in it which was gummy and wiped out but when water ran into sink it would not drain. After "housekeeping" manned w a plunger worked on it, it later burbled up considerable black gunk which remained in the basin. It barely drained and we were afraid to use the sink much. The tub appeared clean possibly as it was infrequently used. The bed appeared clean but it was NOT a good night's sleep. In AM we again addressed the state of the sink and general "funk" on the toilet as we checked out. We were told "someone would look into it". This was, additionally, the most expensive of the 10 or so nights this trip in Motel 6's. There was also in the room a comment card...already filled out for room 132 (we were in room 111), dated October 4, for "an excellent stay" !! Wishful thinking, maybe??
I feel we should have been offered a refund or reduced charge. I did contact "guest relations" and passed on these same complaints. I am especially sad to see this as overall it seems Motel 6's are slipping. I have used this chain for years and never encountered...
Read moreAfter an almost 6 hr flight. We got lost trying to locate the motel. My cell phone had no signal. Luckily my husband's phone did. I called the motel to get directions The managers were super helpful & very polite.. they guided us by telephone turn for turn until we arrived. However, the 1st room we were given was in serious disrepair & right next to a group of displaced residents who are apparently staying in the motel full time. They made a ton of noise all night & early the next morning. We requested to move to another room. The managers complied graciously & were apologetic. The 2nd room was right next door to the office & was definitely in better condition. Felt more secure parking the rental car in front of the room. The website lists that there are coffee makers in the rooms.. NOT the case. There are mini fridges to use & good tv service. It is a very noisy motel pretty much all hours of the night & early into the morning. We were woken several times every night. The worst part of this hotel is house keeping! It pretty much doesn't exist. We did get clean towels 1x during the week but only after I went to the office & asked for them. The trash in our room never got taken out although I asked the office as well. My husband finally took it out himself. Our room was never cleaned & sheets never changed the whole week we were there. We didn't let all the negative dampen our vacation. But honestly we'll be staying elsewhere next time we...
