Great location! Nice, updated, clean hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Nickki went above and beyond making our stay special. Hotel is up to date with nice features and amenities. Free hot/cold breakfast items replenished timely, changing each day and all with a smile. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available 24/7. Muffins and fresh fruit available 24/7 first come first served. Rooms are spacious and have plenty of counter space, desk, full refrigerator with sink, dishwasher and microwave. Plates, glasses and silverware are all available and itās real silverware and real plates! Bathroom is updated with walk-in shower and glass doors. Amenities smell good, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. We stayed for several days, 6, and room service is available every other day unless you put the, ā No Service Needed Todayā sign on your door handle. This is the first hotel where the room attendants actually didnāt bother me nor come in and clean my room even when I put the do not disturb sign on the door. I appreciate that! At another hotel, Comfort Inn, my room was cleaned and when she cleaned my bathroom mirror chemicals got in my open drying contact case and unbeknownst to me the next morning my contacts had my eyes on fire and I couldnāt figure out why until I noticed my room had been cleaned. Didnāt end well! This hotel has laundry facilities, a gym, indoor pool, and a little outside patio sitting area with a grill and fire pit. The added bonus is the miniature golf and ice cream parlor located directly behind the hotel. Great area. Always felt very safe and comfortable coming back to the hotel even...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStayed at the Hilton Home2 Suites for the first time. I was visiting Family up in Bangor Maine. The location was great, very close to highway access, but not to close to hear any road noise. The Hotel was fairly new, so everything was in nice shape and clean. I was disappointed in the room layout as it was a bit smaller than a Homewood Suites type, with no door that separated the bedroom from the living room / kitchen area. The kitchen area still had a full size refrigerator, but no stove tops for cooking. It did have a dishwasher and microwave and a pull out sofa in the living room area. The bathroom was fine with a walk-in shower. The facility also had some nice outside sitting areas with 2 gas grills for cooking and a gas fireplace, very nice amenities. All the staff were friendly and professional. My #1 complaint was how the food was served for the daily breakfast. It was very difficult to actually get the hot food out of the serving plates which were behind class doors that you needed one hand to keep open while you tried to get the food onto your plate, very dumb concept and something that I had never seen in any other Hilton Property. Also the milk containers didn't open, you had to use a straw to get it into your cereal bowl, again, another dumb concept. The bread that they had was too big for the toaster and you had to flip it up and down to get it to toast properly, and they only had one 2 slice toaster, not adequate. The food was good and they served gourmet coffee which was very good. I would suggest staying at a Homewood Suites instead if you are looking for a more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe hotel is new, I want to say not even two years old as of November 2024. Rooms are the typical Home2/Towneplace style of small spaces for longer term stays with a well equipped dinette, plenty of shelving and storage, a small but organized bathroom, and a nice sofa bed along with the kind bed I reserved. Very comfortable room for the most part though itās not my favorite style/brand (not faulting the hotel for this at all). My room was showing signs of a lack of maintenance; the lights in the closet didnāt work, the sink faucet in the bathroom was practically disconnected from the counter, and the ceiling in the bathroom had paint literally flaking.
Another negative is the location of the hotel; while great for ease of access to 95/395/9/1A/2, the neighborhood on Odlin road is not the nicest and with Ground Round closing, the only place to eat within walking distance is the Bangor Grande which isā¦roughā¦but their food is good at least. I suppose there is Subway and Timās but neither are the best for dinner.
The breakfast the next morning was of great quality however the brand really fails its guests and property teams with so many sandwiches in hot holding but no potato side I see now at most other brands for complimentary breakfast. Everything I had was good and I love this brandās use of ceramic plates, glassware, and silverware while still offering single use as an option for on the go.
I would stay here again if the price is right for my company, however it is usually very expensive and now that Iāve stayed, probably not worth what theyāve been charging since...
