First of all the pictures of the rooms must be from a different hotel because this is NOT what it actually looks like when you arrive!! Second the hotel is dirty and stinks of cigarettes and dirty carpet. We reserved a king size bed. On our way to our room the hallway was lined with dirty bedding. When we arrived at our room there were two double beds! Back down to the front desk where they gave us a room with two queen beds because they over reserved the king beds. We were tired of traveling and clearly the hotel is having staffing problems so we just accepted it as it was only one night. When I went to sit down in an old computer chair it was stained by what looked like dried bodily fluids!!!!!! GROSS. I checked the beds and they looked clean so I tried to convince myself it is one night you will be fine. However the nasty cigarette smell bothered my allergies. We went out to supper and and decide there was no way we would sleep as our confidence in the cleanliness was almost zero. Back at the hotel we were told we could not have a refund because technically our room was upgraded!!! Really?? We were offered another room but not what we reserved. However, after what we experienced there was no way I would sleep as I was too worried about the cleanliness. The owner finally agreed that once the manger seen the chair for herself we would get a refund. The next day the manager would only offer a 50% discount on the room we never slept in. It wouldn’t have changed our minds and we would have still gone to another hotel but this was not an option the night before !!! All the manger could say was you got an upgrade because the room is more expensive and you chose not to stay. Room an upgrade??? Must be an upgrade from all the extra dirt in it!! Such a bad hotel with bad management.

Read morePulling up to the hotel it looked a bit shady and industrial. When we entered the lobby another guest was being helped so we quietly waited in line. It was becoming obvious that they were going to be a few more minutes which was fine, but the receptionist did not even acknowledge our presence or that of the couple that was in line behind us. Nor did she thank us for our patience or apologize for the wait. I understand that it wasn’t her fault, but it seems like the courteous thing to do. Unfortunately, our conversation with her was not incredibly pleasant. She seemed cold and while she wasn’t outright rude, she seemed very cold. We were informed that the card used to reserve the room could not be used to pay because it had to be swiped and we didn’t have it with us. It was only confusing because upon reservation, I had been told that card would be charged. We did appreciate it that she extended our check out time to noon though.
The hotel in general did not smell very pleasant and when we got to the room, I thought that we were going to be relieved of it. But once whatever room freshener had been sprayed cleared, I realized that there was a whole new funky smell in the room. The room was very clean, but the smell made us a little wary and my husband actually checked for bed bugs because of it. I apologized several times for not checking reviews and stars more carefully since I had booked based on my experience at the branch in Augusta, Maine.
I would encourage Quality Inn not to buy anymore buildings that were formerly smoking buildings. You really can’t ever get the smell out and it brings down the entire brand. It’s not worth it.
Breakfast was a bit lackluster with broken equipment, empty serving dishes and wobbly tables. The WiFi password was also a bit difficult to find being on the room key folder (and with the receptionist not...
Read moreWriting a bad review is not my thing but I have share our experience and warn others about this place. The rooms have doors that lead to the next room and all sounds clearly pass from one room to another, if your looking for a good night's sleep this is not the place. We stayed here for one night only and things started out badly right from the get go. We were met with a very unwelcoming greeting at the front desk, even when calling for the shuttle to pick us up they seemed annoyed. Next after 11pm a group of people decided to have a hallway party and were sitting on the floor outside their rooms cracking open drinks and carrying on conversions very loudly. We called the front desk to ask if they could be quieted down and the response we received was "Can you open your door and ask them to quite down yourself?" Seriously, I'm not making this up. Next at 2:45am the people in the next room arrived and due to the adjoining doorway we could clearly hear every single word they were saying and could even hear them chewing their McDonald's. How do we know what they were eating? Again every single word clearly carries as the adjoining door is not sealed at all. You can clearly see daylight all around the door which allows sounds to travel perfectly between rooms(I will include a pic of the door gap). Honestly it sounded like the people in the next room were actually in our room. Again, I really don't like to leave a bad review, you can check my other +680 reviews and see that but I really feel others should have a heads up before spending their hard earned money especially if they are looking to get a full night's sleep which we did not. The room itself was clean and had nice appointments. Parking is good, easy to get in and out. The airport is just around the corner and the shuttle was good. For us though this will be our one...
