I'm a regular daily customer. At lesst once a day, with some days up to 5 visits. I love tim hortons. The owner and especially Bruce are some of the sweetest and nicest people. I'd like to think myself patient and understanding but things are getting progressively worse worker wise. Today I got a turkey BLT and no bacon! And I was the only customer there period, so they weren't overwhelmed. Order 2 hasbrowns and pay for 2 but only get one. Order a Carmel ice coffee with 2 granulated sugars and one milk and consistently something is done wrong, either I'm given liquid sugar which I can't stand the taste of or it gives me migrains, or they use cream instead of milk which is super heavy and they always use way too much making the coffee more cream than coffee and way too light in color. Get a beagle and it's edges and outer parts are burnt to a crisp which tells me they have the toaster on way too high of a heat setting and sending the items through at too fast of a pace atrempting to get the window time down. Get an English muffin and it's super soggy and soft. And I absolutely love it (sarcasm) when I get hashbrowns that are either super soggy and under cooked cold in the middle, or have been sitting under the warming light for way too long and are stale tasting or freezer burnt tasting. Some of the younger female workers will straight laugh at you and crack ignorant comments they think you can't hear, one new big bearded guy acts like he's never smiled in his whole life and sounds miserable and annoyed by you and your presence as he football hikes things out the window into your hand with a stern "here" not even giving you enough time to put your drink in a cup holder. The over all quality of customer service and food is continually going downhill. And if you ask for them to fix anything.......the attitude or annoyance portrayed makes you feel guilty. I use to work at tim hortons and was a baker for them at one point to. If things are done right from the jump it's easy to get a smooth rhythm going while keeping quality of food and customer service up and windown times down. Honestly Bruce is the main reason I continue to come back as much as I do and is what keeps me hopeful about...
Read moreI was excited to try this place after hearing mostly good things about it and finding myself near one. I tried to order something down the middle and let the drinks stand for themselves.
My first impression of the store was the drive through menu’s right screen was severely damaged, but working. The young man whom took my order entertained a few of my first timer questions and took my order. We wound up with an iced caramel coffee and a large hot vanilla latte. Happy with 2 cups of coffee on the cheap! As we rolled up to the window, I could see a flurry of activity on the other side of it along with some indistinguishable yelling. An older woman with a wild-eyed look flung the window open and looked at me with a surpised look as if I wasn’t expected. She gathered herself, asked for payment, processed it, and handed my card back. Upon returning, she was yelling at someone in the kitchen then without turning or breaking eye contact with that person, handed me the two drinks, and closed the window. The transaction was apparently complete.
Driving away I noticed the my latte was extremely hot, not necessarily a problem as I wanted hot coffee, but maybe it needed a sleeve. Regardless, I drove down the road for a short time waiting for the coffee to cool and was finally ready to have my first drink of this delectable coffee I’ve heard so much about! What was I rewarded with once I got that first drink down? Well, the same as the second and third drinks and that was nothing. What I believed myself to be tasting was hot, watered down milk. I got down the road further to another coffee shop before I could verify. What I found in the cup was a light brown liquid that appeared to be coffee, but was lacking the key quality of tasting like coffee.
Now I can’t say the coffee was without merit as the caramel iced coffee was decent. I will likely avoid TH in the future...
Read moreWe drove specifically into Bangor from Etna, where we live, for your delicious turkey, avocado wrap. The young lady who took our order was very professional and polite in greeting us & taking our orders. The issue is the older man, Bruce, who was making our wraps. The young lady asked Bruce a question about a phone call she answered. He told her to send them to Broadway since they have at least 9 people who can fill the order for 3 dozen donuts. The worst part is when she meekly asked/ informed Bruce she was running to the bathroom real quick (there were no customers waiting). He loudly stated "I haven't been able to go to the bathroom once- enjoy that! Must be nice." She sadly took a few steps toward the bathroom with her head down & a guilty expression, then turned around & walked to the drive through window. We won't be eating here again! I will not support ANY establishment that tolerates bullying & intimidation of any kind-especially an older man down to a young girl!! This is unfortunate since all of the food...
