Dear Manager ( You Know Who You Are )
I hope this review finds you well. My husband and I recently stayed at your Howard Johnson Motel for three days, and I feel compelled to express our heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional service we received during a challenging situation.
When we arrived, we were excited to enjoy our time away, but our experience took an unexpected turn when we discovered that our suitcase had been stolen. We were distressed and overwhelmed, but it was in that moment of crisis that your remarkable compassion and dedication to your guests truly shone through.
From the very beginning, you took our situation to heart. You went above and beyond, immersing yourself in an investigation that provided us with immense comfort and reassurance. Instead of simply suggesting we file a police report, you guided us through the process with a calm demeanor and a clear plan of action. Your understanding of the emotional toll that this theft took on us made all the difference in the world.
Your loyalty to your guests was evident. You didn’t just see it as a matter of lost belongings; you recognized the deeper impact it had on our vacation experience. The empathy you showed while discussing our options allowed us to feel supported, even amidst the turmoil. Your approach to resolution—grounded in compassion rather than confrontation—reminded us that human connection and understanding can often lead to more meaningful outcomes than getting the authorities involved.
As luck would have it, your diligent efforts paid off. We were able to recover our stolen items, which was a profound relief. The conversation we had with the individual involved was enlightening, and the opportunity for that person to face the consequences of their actions offered a sense of closure that we hadn’t anticipated. Although we did suffer the loss of some belongings, it became evident through your actions that the true reward lies in how we navigate hardships together.
We sincerely believe that not every situation warrants legal action. Sometimes, the most powerful resolution occurs when individuals are given the chance to reflect on their behavior and aim for personal growth. We hope that the exchange of words we had will serve as a turning point for that individual and encourage them to become a better person moving forward.
The entire time we stayed at your motel, every interaction with you and your staff was warm and welcoming. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, which only added to our overall experience. The only challenge we faced was due the actions of another guest; however, your commitment to customer satisfaction was resolute, and we left feeling valued and cared for.
Thank you once again for everything you did for us during our stay. Your management style is truly commendable, and it sets a standard for what hospitality should be. We look forward to returning to the Howard Johnson Motel, knowing that we have a safe haven with an outstanding team who genuinely cares about their guests.
Warm regards,
Mr and Mrs...
Read moreGreat place to stay, but being accused of smoking when you weren't is annoying. I understand your a non smoker so let me explain something. If you smoke you will smell like smoke. Anything you sit, lay, wipe off or touch will have that residue smell. Now if we would have smoke in there then the smell would be progressively worst. Not smell like the freaking bread and pizza from before we left... We have always stayed here when we're in bangor and never have we been accused until this time,..,,. This first time when we told you were smokers and want a room close to the door so we can be closer to our truck to smoke". We feel so uncomfortable this time. Some short woman ligitly stood behind my wife trying to look into our room while my wife was shutting the door to meet me in the truck to smoke. We stay here quite a bit and know quite a few people that do to, but that might change if this keeps up. People shouldn't be made to feel like they are being stalked or freaking followed when they are staying at a hotel and especially by the workers. I wouldn't want my friends to feel the way they are making us. It would be something if there was ashes or butts everywhere or even in the trash, but there wasn't. Why BECUSE WE DIDNT DO IT IN THE ROOM... Makes it worst tomorrow is my birthday.. what a experience to get to enjoy😔☹😤😡 Experience Vent over. I just don't...
Read moreLocated just off the interstate, this Howard johnson's is on a road shared with other hotels and a Tim Hortons. We found the area to be quiet and tranquil. There is ample parking both in front and off to the side of the building. This hojos is 2 floors. The first floors do not have immediate access to outside. Hotel amenities included free wifi, an ice machine and a complimentary breakfast. This hotel is pet friendly for a slight up charge.|This rating is for a budget hotel. The price paid was approximately $80 plus a fee for our dog, so it was just over $100, which is pretty cheap in 2024. The hotel was likely built on a slab (concrete). Our room was conveniently located on the first floor and the floor was always fairly cold. The heating bulb in the bathroom was not operational. The room was in fairly good shape for this price range. Whomever the handyman who did the work, was for sure low budget and inexperienced. The room however, did suffice. Although the floor was cold, we appreciated the tiled floors as they are far more hygienic for a hotel, especially one that allows pets. We were delighted that the room was equipped with a microwave, fridge and a coffee maker. Staff was very friendly both with check in...
