Update: I stopped by the salon when they opened at 10, and I was very pleased that Dawson offered quickly to redo the gel manicure. We are both unsure what could have caused the color change - I chose a slightly different shade (DND #42) with hopes that maybe it was a bad batch of polish. I was reassured by he and other techs that if there is ever an issue that arises, to contact them as soon as possible so that they can correct or redo. It is great that they care about the quality of their services.
Note: I will update review after going back today when they open to ask for them to redo the manicure and seeing how they handle the situation.
Review: I used to go the Best Nails awhile ago, and went back yesterday. The mani and pedi itself took quite a long time (I was there being worked on for 2 hours). As I wasn't really in a rush, that was fine but still a bit lengthy in my mind. But I walked out feeling like Dawson had taken great care in shaping my nails and doing my gel manicure. Unfortunately, this morning I woke up to nails that had changed from a nice maroon (DND Gel #41) to an awful brown color. I wear gloves when I use cleaning products at home and have not used any lotions or products that would have resulted in this. I've researched what could cause this change, and I'm led to believe that my manicure wasn't cured properly in the salon. Also, it's worth noting that the salon itself has become a bit more cluttered and messy than I remember from a few years ago. Read moreI’ve beeen there in the past but I tried to come today to see about getting a pedicure with my mother. I called several times to see if I needed to make an appointment no one answered the phone. I even checked their website to see if it was appointments only but nowhere did it state appointment only. So I come into the shop and I sign in a lady then comes up to me and says what you need I say two pedicures. She says did you make appointment I said no that I tried to call she said well if appointment comes you’ll have to wait we can just talk walk in. There was literally one person in a chair getting their nails no one else but her attitude that was unnerving. I could understand had she answered the phone that she had in her hand when I called three times. I could have understand had it been packed with her appointment or had stated that on her website. I can’t Understand why you have to take a nasty tone and be rude when you could have said simply I have upcoming appointment that’s coming in I can’t take you two at the moment or we’re short staffed right now and and unable to accommodate instead of saying I should have made appointment. Read moreMe and my friend went to get our nails done. We waited about 30 minutes. The lady who did mine complained about my cuticles and pulled a nailed glue off my finger and asked if it hurt and I said yea and she yanked it off. She worked way too quick on them. They look crocked as heck. I asked for black and gold and she put a dark blue on. She kept saying it was black but multiple people said it looked blue. She put a new top clear coat on grabbed me by the arm and pulled me outside and said it still looked black then. Then she said she would redo it tonight and I said I didn't have time and I said for it in writing that she would fix it the next day. She made a whole scene and everyone started laughing. Owner was rude about it too. Came home and told my boyfriend about it. He went back with me where I showed him the ladies EXPIRED license to do nails. He had to take a pic and threatn to report them if they didn't give me my money back. I got my money back but I WILL be reporting them for having expired licenses...
