Avoid at all cost! The 2 out of 3 double bed rooms that were booked by my friend had major issues. The first room had no microwave or refrigerator with a TV and phone in the room that did not work what so ever. In the same room, there was an unpleasant odor, as if there was mold/mildew growing. On the floor there was an odd colored stain and looked as if it had been there not too long ago. The hotel was being "renovated" so outside the room in the hallway, there were cables handing loosely with missing ceiling tiles. It did not look like anybody had been working on it recently. The second room had a strong mildew/mold smell and did not clear up until we had the a/c unit running for and hour or so. In addition, while using the restroom, the roof of the bathroom leaked twice (pictures will be provided). It was clear whenever the person above our room was using the shower/bath, because it became a close to water park in the bathroom. Not only that, it was leaking from the fan and started to spread into the room itself! Clearly there is underlying issues in the infrastructure of the building that needs to be checked out immediately. As of 10/23/2019, my friend is contacting the hotel but is having trouble reaching them and has called Wynham's corporate office to get a refund for the second room! If anybody is reading this, I highly discourage you from choosing this location as much as possible despite it's location and spend the extra money to stay somewhere else until these issues are resolved. Hopefully, the property will be improved for future guest by Wynham.

This was one of the most disgusting hotels that I ever had to check into. It was filthy from the time we entered. Wife had doubts but I convinced her that the rooms just could be better. Once we exited the elevator on our floor you could tell that this hotel was really old and desperately needed to be upgraded (remodeled) well that's what they say was going on out front of the building. Once we entered the room the smell from the chemicals overwhelmed us giving both of us headaches. The floor was dirty as if it was mopped with a dirty mop. The bed top sheet on one bed had very noticeable stains and the second bed had yellow stains on the bottom sheet.(had some slept there prior to our arrival?) After a complete inspection we noticed dead bugs on the floor, mirror broken and refrigerator dirty. Smoke detector was also hanging from the ceiling. This tells me that they did not clean this room. We booked this room with our Wyndham rewards points.. We contacted Wyndham but all other rooms were booked for the weekend because of a big concert and other events going on. We eventually found a room at the Drury $$$$$. This was supposed to be a good weekend for my wife because she had been in the house for months after major surgery. Wife is still suffering from headaches from the chemical smell. Got to go see the doctor!!! Wyndham start doing surprise inspection on these hotels that you are booking your customers to stay. If your too busy call me I will go do it for you.

This may be an older Inn, but it is clean, nice and the staff is UNBELIEVABLE!! I have never had an air conditioning problem without being moved to another room. I was already unpacked and ready to settle in for the night, I saw a maintenance man and asked if the air would get cooler. He looked at it and said it was as good as it could get. 15 min later he knocked on our door and had a BRAND NEW IN THE BOX Ac UNIT!! Robert installed it in about 15 min. I didn't have to move rooms!! ( I couldn't anyway, booked full for Nascar, college ball and hurricane Michael victims) I told him it wasn't necessary we would be fine. He said "your comfort is our priority". This place has been packed full all weekend and it hasn't effected a single employees attitude that I've seen. My husband and son are working here in town, we live in Texas. They have been here for going on a month and they have something positive to say about the staff almost everyday! So it means alot to me that not only are they good to me while I'm here with my family, but most important they take care of my family here while I'm home!!!

This post is from my stay on 05/07/2025. I have given a full week from the property to address the issues but have only received one response from 3 emails.

Email sent on the night of 05/07/2025:

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent stay as a business traveler. I was quite surprised and frankly offended by the $100 incidental fee charged for a single night, especially considering it nearly doubled the cost of my stay, which was booked using rewards points. The imposition of such a significant automatic fee gives the impression that the hotel anticipates issues requiring such a deposit, which is not the environment I expect or desire as a business traveler.

Furthermore, I am concerned about the billing process. I understand the final charge will be $65.51. If this is not processed using the original credit card authorization, I anticipate a hold of $165.51 on my card for up to ten business days due to the lack of separate authorizations. This is not only inconvenient but also seems to be an unethical business practice and potentially a violation of your credit card processing agreement.

Due to this policy and my overall experience, I will not be staying at your property in the future. I also intend to share my concerns with Wyndham Hotels and through online hotel reviews.

I believe it is necessary to address this incidental fee policy, particularly for guests who are part of the Wyndham Hotels rewards program and have existing reservations.

Regarding the condition of the rooms, my initial room, 106, had issues with the television remotes; none of the three provided worked correctly. While I was moved to room 104, the television programming did not match the on-screen guide. I recommend that the televisions throughout the property be reprogrammed or that a current channel list be provided in each room.

Additionally, I wanted to bring to your attention some issues in room 108. The water outlet in the bathtub appears to need repair, and the pillows in the room are flat, requiring the use of multiple pillows to sleep comfortably. I suggest replacing the pillows in that room.

I do want to acknowledge the evening desk clerk, who was very helpful and did her best to resolve the television issues I experienced. Her service was a positive aspect of my stay.

I would appreciate a response addressing these concerns within the next 72 hours.

Email sent on the night of 05/08/2025:

I am writing to follow up on my recent overnight stay and to bring to your attention a few additional issues I encountered.

During the evening, at approximately 9:40 PM, I was disturbed by a loud noise that sounded like gunfire. Upon looking out my window, I saw blue lights flashing from a vehicle in the driveway of the property. This incident has confirmed my concerns about the safety and security of the hotel for its guests as stated previously.

Throughout the night, I was also repeatedly awakened by a faint metallic scraping sound, which I eventually identified as the metal base of the bed frame. It seemed that any movement in the bed caused the frame to make this noise, disrupting my sleep.

Furthermore, upon using the bathroom, I noticed that the flooring was unclean, particularly the grout and edges. Please refer to the attached photos, which also include an image of the bathtub faucet I mentioned in my previous email. Additionally, after taking a shower, I wiped up some water from the bath area and the laminate floor, and the attached image clearly shows how dirty the floor was.

As I previously stated, I am very disappointed with the condition and my overall experience at your property, and do not plan to stay here again when I am in town. I have been a loyal La Quinta customer for many years, even before the brand became part of Wyndham Hotels, and this experience has significantly diminished my perception of the brand.

For your awareness, I have included our accounting and legal departments on this and my previous email regarding concerns about the...

This place is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. My fiancé and I were supposed to stay last Saturday, but there were SO MANY PROBLEMS. We get there, and it looked nothing like the pictures on the internet inside OR out. We get checked in and go to the elevator, and when the door opens, there are empty boxes and open paint cans all in the elevator along with paint chips and dust everywhere. We ride the elevator to the second floor, and when the door opened, there were paint chips, dust etc. all over the floor in the hallway as well. My fiancé and I looked to our right, and there were a load of men working on remodeling their rooms right down the hallway from ours. It is NOT advertised that they are renovating/remodeling on their website, and they also neglect to tell you that. You just have to find out for yourself. My fiancé and I went to our room, and as soon as we opened the door, it smelled like nothing but CIGARETTE SMOKE. The next thing I noticed was that the ceiling was falling apart, there was a HUGE stain on the ceiling like there had been a leak from the room directly above. The sink was sticky and gross. The bottom of the door was torn apart. The floor was stained in MULTIPLE places. My fiancé pointed out a stain that I thought looked like bodily fluids, and when he and I got closer, it looked like a PROJECTILE VOMIT stain. It was 2 to 3 feet long. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I pulled back the curtain from the window, and it looked like it had NEVER been cleaned. There was also a black substance all around the window that looked like cigarette smoke stain and/or black mold. THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Oh, did I mention I still haven’t gotten my refund back that they promised me 7 DAYS AGO?! The manager told me last Saturday October 19, 2019 that we were being refunded. I called the front desk 2 days later on Monday, and they said it would be 3-5 business days before I got my refund. YESTERDAY was the 5th business day, and I still DO NOT HAVE MY MONEY. I called them again yesterday, and I was put on hold and then hung up on. I just called again about 30 minutes ago, and they asked me to call back in 3 hours when the manager got there. This was understandable, but only because the sweet lady had only worked there for 2 days. One thing I will say was good about the hotel, the ONLY thing is the people that work there. Everyone except for the person I talked to yesterday have been AMAZING and SO KIND. This includes the lady at the desk last Saturday, the manager that came up to our room for us to show him our problems and the lady I talked to today. But even though the staff was super nice, I wasn’t going to stay here, and...

This was the most dreadful hotel I have ever had the misfortune of staying at. All my past stays at La Quinta properties have been joyous but this one was catastrophic. Upon checking in the lobby smelled like damp incense and the general upkeep of the hotel interior was shocking. The exterior looked fine but it was apparent this wasn't like any other La Quinta I have stayed at. When I got to my deluxe king room it was in a serious state of disrepair, there was a warped piece of trim hanging loose from a connecting door, there were streaks of paint along the window valance, along with the air conditioner covered in mold and the air filters were filthy. There was strange "goop" along the headboard and end tables. None of the furniture looked like it went with any sort of theme it was just thrown into the room haphazardly. The bathroom hand towels couldn't be used as they were disintegrating onto my hand, and one of two of my towels had stains and hairs on them. The bathroom faucet had a constant drip and when I went to use it I had to forcefully jam the controls to get the water to come on. There were stains along with hairs and soap scum in the bathtub, the bathroom fan also was not functional. The floor was sticky and dusty and was severely scratched in several locations. The bed sheet had several hairs under a pillow and a red stain near the foot of the bed. The room was also unbelievably hot upon check in requiring nearly an hour to cool down to a reasonable temperature. There was also a 100$ incidental deposit charged to my card without me being clearly told, I found this almost offensive as I have been to much nicer class hotels and haven't ever been charged anything over a 50$ deposit for incidentals. I found a section on the third floor with turned over couches and foot prints of purple paint along the floor. This has severely tarnished the La Quinta name for me as now I will need to do more research rather than just using the reputation that I had come to expect. I will say that the staff interactions were decent and the breakfast was just okay. Something is seriously wrong here someone needs to send an inspector out or something, this was a...
