This motel is located in a very nice area, food and shopping were very conveniently located. HOWEVER... The heavy set desk clerk wash with VERY unprofessional and RUDE.Our room was somewhat clean and the tub had copious amounts of MOLD of which I am very highly allergic to. It gave me a severe headache which resulted in me staying up all night long.
The shower head was heavy with limescale and in severe need of limescale remover. The shower walls and outside of the tub including the floor in that area contained dirt, scum, dust and hairs pushed into the corners, and the base of the tub. The outside of the tub was FILTY! My flat sheet had a cigarette burn in it, and a few of the bath towels were stained beyond belief!
Nothing was as clean as it should have been. There were hairs of past guests on the floor throughout, there were food crumbs on the vanity area, desk, and chairs. The heavyset woman at the front desk was rude AND lazy. At breakfast, for instance... Very gooey oatmeal, walffles and NO syrup because the syrup dispenser had been left on and overflowed on the counter. When it was called to her attention by another guest, ( I myself trying to get breakfast going for my family,) She came out from behind the desk to the breakfast area raising hell about the number of guests who walked by and never told her about it. She did not replace the syrup, and complained very rudely whilst cleaning up the mess as if I had done something wrong, so I placed my waffles on the counter, and then before I left heard her YELLING at a male foreign housekeeper. She was literally shouting at him to save a room for last. In front of guests! She spoke to this man like he was an animal.
If I had been an owner, I would have fired her on the spot. I have worked in the hospitality industry once upon a time for many years. One thing I can say to this woman right now is this... You work in the hospitality industry first of all. Secondly you need to understand the meaning of hospitality. YOU are representing the entire chain of motels that YOU are employed by. YOU need to remember that your skills or lack thereof, make or break the company you work for. The customer is important. The customer fuels this industry, and the chain you are employed under. YOU are to make these guests happy and content with the level of service YOU provide to them. If you are being rude and less than friendly, then YOU will single handedly RUIN the reputation of your place of work, and the entire chain!
My family has used Days Inn ALWAYS. I am FLOORED at your commitment to giving your chain a bad name. This is NOT how we do HOSPITALITY. Those above you in the chain of command need to be aware of how you behave in front of the guests. They need to be aware of the fact that you obviously do not communicate well with the head of housekeeping. If you were, you would be making sure those rooms were inspected well by the head housekeeper and that at the end of each day, each and every room is properly cleaned, and stocked for the PAYING guests!
Being a long time patron of Days Inn, I have to say that I am willing to give another chain a try now. Oh, another thing.. In 218, the toilet doesn't flush correctly, and the ceiling above the showerhead is about to fall down. No one should be staying in that room. It is disgusting and in dire need of work. I am highly upset about our experience ar your motel. Go look up the meaning of hospitality in a dictionary and practice it. If you can't do it, then go into any area of business that doesn't include dealing with people, or serious...
Read moreThis place is GROSS! Not very clean and looks NOTHING like the pix they have posted of their room. The bathroom faucet constantly runs. The fridge didn't work. We found that out after we bought $40 in food and woke up to it spoiled in the fridge. Went to the front desk to notify them and told them about the broken fridge and $40 in food lost. The guy wasn't concerned at all and didn't try to compensate for our losses due to their faulty equipment. The door key doesn't work most of the time. Sliding the key in and out about 30 times (literally) seemed to work. Got a replacement key and the same thing happened. My husband and I are working 15hrs/day in the sun. When we get to our room, we just want showers and sleep. Not to have to deal with all this and what sounds like a Mariachi band outside our door. Did I mention that we had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door while we were at work and came back to find the beds made? While I DO appreciate it, at the same time the sign was there for a reason and it feels a little intrusive to know someone just blatantly came inside anyway. My husband opened the door the next night to get the food that was delivered and the handle fell off in his hand. He tried to put it back together but it just kept falling off. So we call the front desk to notify them and the phone was a bunch of static. So he yelled our room # and the guy at the front door came to us. He said he'd be back. He came back and told us he was sorry but the mgr wasn't there and they don't have onsite maintenance. Luckily, my husband had a wrench in the trunk so we could get out to checkout in the morning. You get less than what you pay for here, folks. Hard lesson learned but we will NEVER stay...
Read moreFirst of all I thought being in the area it was in would be nice and clean, up to date, only to find out I was WRONG! Room smelled horrible, garbage under the bed, no mattress cover, pillows are HORRIBLE, a sheet only on the bed. Stayed here for 2 nights, checked in Friday night around 930pm, went out Saturday morning around noon came back to our room 11pm to key cars not working, locked out of our room. Front deck locks doors at 9pm, no one to be seen at night registration, rung Bell multiple times no one ever showed up, called 2x nonanswer. Finally, some. Staff member staying in another room appeared and ask was there a problem and had a key card and let us in our room. I DO NOT recommend this place at all!!! I was one PISSED woman at 11pm when trying to get into my room and Ive not took it up with front deck yet, but I will be making that trip up to the front before I leave Sunday morning, if there is anyone running this place. Very shady, only thing good here is the lovely traffic on 280 and that's saying alot if you know the traffic of 280. Very disappointed...
