I ordered online and then drove to the store. When I arrived, at first I looked around. Then a young man plopped a sheet of paper and a pen in front of me. I didn't understand at first, but he spoke, indocating he was hearing impaired. I wrote my name and pointed to what I thought might be my order on the hotshelf. He said no and that mine was still in the oven. Well, I did order the pizza well-done (first time I've done that) so it made sense. But waiting gave me a chance to watch this young man work. I'm an attorney and I do special needs law, so my attention was captured. This young man was hustling around, doing his job with purpose. As people came in, he greeting them respectfully. He was making the dough and walking with purpose between his station, the cooler, the oven and the counter. I saw him twirl pizza dough and, at one point, saw it in the air with him catching it much like they do on television. It was quickly evident that he was a pizza artist (pronounced "ar-teest"). He was also the kind of employee any good pizza place would love to have. When my pizza was ready, he was at the oven boxing it up. Since he knew me from my prior question, he brought it right to me and I thanked him. I took it home and it was excellent, top notch. Although I enjoy going to the mom and pop brick oven pizza joints, watching this young man work was a joy because he was busting his chops to provide high quality food instead of doing what so many of us do when life deals us a bum hand. I don't know his name, but I will go back to this location, not only because the food was good, but to watch this individual show off his pizza making skill. Great job!...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst Papa John's experience!!! Ordered on the App...wait time 45 mins. Get there 50mins later when it should be ready, there was only 2 guys working. There was 5 people in the lobby waiting for their online orders too. The head worker was still training the other guy. He allowed a guy that just walked in that was number 17 in the que skip everyone and told him he would make his pizza right away. Told me and other people that it would be 45mins to an hour. After going back in after almost an hour to check if it was ready there was two girls that were number 10 in the que while i was still number 5. It took a total of 2 hrs of waiting in the parking lot and pizza was still not ready. The two girls that were 10 in the que however got their 4 pizza 2 orders of wings and were walking out with it. I checked on my pizza and it was still in the oven. My order was basic, one large cheese and one large sausage. I finally got my order but after over 2 hrs of waiting past the time it was supposed to be ready which means they had close to 3hrs to make two pizzas. RIDICULOUS! I was upset it took so long but even more upset that the guy allowed certain people to jump ahead of others! Never going to this Papa Jons again. The owner needs to hire more people and fix this ASAP or you will be out of business fast. Making a corporate...
Read moreReally disappointing experience tonight. I ordered my pizza at 6:38 pm. Payment, delivery and tip deducted from my account at that time. Just a pepperoni and mushroom not complicated. The order wasn’t confirmed on the app until 7:30. Then it sent me a message saying it was delayed. Then I got a message saying it was being transferred to DoorDash for delivery. Then it said my dasher was waiting and then it said on the way. At 8:45 pm (over two hours later) I get a message saying the order was cancelled. Called the store and no one seems to know what happened or what was going on and blamed DoorDash. At 9:06 they offered to bring me a pizza but wanted me to pay another delivery Fee and no guarantee how soon I would get it. They said my original order was voided, but it was still taken out of my account. I wasn’t comfortable paying again when money had already been deducted from the bank account and they said that wouldn’t show back up for 72 hrs. Just an absolutely frustrating experience all the...
