We got there for the new years weekend and the front desk person at first was super friendly. The rooms were OK, housekeeping needs to do a better job at vacuuming/sweeping under the bed. Lots of dust underneath. I like that it is pet friendly. However at the time of check out they ended up charging us another 250 because our room smelled like marijuana and the rooms are no smoking room. Which we have never smoked in the room because why do we wanna risk getting charged another 250 for smoking when we can just step right outside and do that. We did honor and respect the rules!!! They refused to listen to us and did not want to check the cameras that they were other guest outside near our room smoking. (Which is fine that other guest are out there smoking and enjoying their trip. We do not mind people smoking and it is legal in the state of oregon). However during the time the guest were smoking we had our door open while we were getting all our things out of the room into our car getting ready for check out and unfortunately the smell has gotten into our room and we were accused of smoking in the room which we did not! We told the manager Josh but he refused to listen to us and called the police on us, when all we were trying to do is explained ourselves and telling him why do we have to pay the consequences for the people around us. But in a small town like that where there is not really minorities, or people of color. People are quite racist, small minded and believe by shutting us out is calling the police and making the officers think that they are in danger or feeling unsafe. It is so unfortunate to have to begin the year with such discrimination and facing the bigotry and racism of this town. We will never come back to this spot and I am still waiting for them to send me information on the owner of this hotel to report to the manager and he has not send it to me yet. How disgraceful and unprofessional. Becareful do not keep windows or doors open when there are guest smoking around, which we can not control, but they don't care and will charge you the 250 even though you are innocent and respectful to...
Read moreDo not stay here. Usually I am skeptical of bad reviews, please learn from my mistake. People are not exaggerating, it is as bad as they say that it is.
Upon check-in, my husband and I immediately went to our room. It was musty, the top sheet was obviously dirty (I have included a picture) & the walls were so thin we could hear the neighbours on the each side of us. The room looked so rough, we didn’t take off our shoes while we inspected it. In addition, there is no option for heating or cooling the room, like there typically is for motels.
We left the room for a bit and I scrolled through the one-star reviews left for this inn. When I saw that people were complaining about the state of the beds, we went back and I pulled the blankets back. When I did, I found 3 hairs from 3 different people (different lengths & different colours). There was a stain on the sheet and the fitted sheet was so thin I could see the print of the mattress.
It was late by this time, it was 10:20 pm. After a full day of travelling, we were tired and just wanted to sleep. But we went back to the office to see if there was anything they could do because I did not want to sleep in a bed full of hair. When we voiced our complaints, the only solution the employee had was to give us a sheet to cover the bed. We asked to get a refund, but since we booked through a third party, they told us that there was nothing they could do. At this point, we checked out. We had been checked in for a full 40 minutes. Instead of sleeping in the room that we paid for, we drove to the rest stop 5 minutes north of the inn and slept in our car (and quite honestly, it was better than the inn).
Immediately, we contacted the third party that we booked through. They told us that it was the manager that needed to approve the refund (so just as a reminder, the inn told us that there was nothing that they can do). The third party reached out multiple times over the course of 4 full days with no response. The owners of the inn ignored their request. We paid $130 CAD to...
Read moreI recently stayed at Blue Coast In & Suites, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The condition of this motel is absolutely unacceptable, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others.
Cons:
The room was filthy and grimy, with visible mold buildup. I found dog food and hair in the furniture, which is beyond disgusting. There were noticeable gaps around the door, compromising both security and cleanliness. The smoke alarm was dead, posing a significant safety hazard. The bed sheets had obviously not been cleaned or changed. Despite the bed being made, there were consistent and disturbing stains that made me feel uncomfortable. The manager had to replace the sheets at 9:00 PM, which was not only awkward but also indicative of poor housekeeping practices. The employees looked very unprofessional, adding to the overall negative impression. The manager openly admitted that the owners are cheap and refuse to hire licensed contractors, which explains the lack of maintenance and care. I was shocked to hear that homeless people had been using the rooms, raising serious concerns about safety and hygiene. Many electrical outlets were either not working or missing faceplates, exposing dangerous wires. Stray cats were wandering in and out of the lobby, which is highly unprofessional and unsanitary. To make matters worse, I paid for the room before seeing it, which left me feeling trapped in this awful situation. I worked hard for my money and planned this vacation, only to be met with such a defeating experience.
I will be posting photos along with this review to highlight the disgusting conditions. The only resolution I will accept is a full refund. I do not appreciate cheap apologies—what I experienced was unacceptable, and the amount I paid for such a filthy room is insane.
I strongly recommend finding another motel or even sleeping in your car instead of staying here. This place should not be open for business in its...
