Stopped by here for dinner on our way back from Seattle, Washington on the 101. We wanted something Asian and our options were pretty limited. We were a bit skeptical about the quality of food as Japanese food in Brooking doesn’t normally strike us as authentic. I ordered the Salmon Oyakodon and was pleasantly surprised how good it was! Salmon tasted clean and wasabi was fresh. My only complaint would be that the rice could have been served warm as it was a bit cold. Two members of my party ordered pho (a noodle soup dish not usually served at Japanese restaurants). It was rather disappointing as their broth was served lukewarm and too similar to the consistency of ramen broth. It was especially important to note that the noodles were soggy upon arrival. No condiments were available (chili oil, fish sauce, soy sauce, hoisin, siracha, etc). Another party member ordered the teriyaki chicken bento. The teriyaki chicken was drenched in teriyaki sauce making it almost unpalatable. Lastly, my girlfriend ordered the spicy Tonkotsu Ramen which in our opinion was pretty damn good. Noodles were al dente but the broth could be served hotter. Overall one of their best dish to eat! Overall, food is okay if you’re a Californian passing by and craving Japanese food. Staff is extremely courteous and checks on you frequently. I’d stop by again if I am to ever drive along the 101 again. (I forgot to take pictures of the other dishes as I was too hungry 😆)

I just had dinner at Kaya Sushi & Noodle House. And I just had to give a review. We've been looking for good Chinese food and decided to try it at Kaya. So, we tried it, and oh my.... It was absolutely delicious! We ordered the Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, Honey Walnut Prawns, and Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura. Generally, we like one or two dishes at other Chinese restaurants, but at Kaya, we loved every dish, and the fried rice that came with each dish as well! And, I have never really liked Honey Walnut Prawns before. The sauce would always be too sweet and the batter too heavy anywhere else I've tried it. There are probably some good Honey Walnut Prawns out there, but being disappointed so many times I've stayed clear of that dish at every restaurant. But at Kaya, their version was not too sweet. The batter was light and airy, and the prawns not overcooked...just delicious. It's gone from my worst Chinese dish to my favorite because of Kaya. But, all the dishes were delicious. When do you get a restaurant where each and every one of the dishes are to die for? When looking at the other reviews, I saw all 5 stars, where others' experiences are similar to mine, so others see what I see at this restaurant too. Anyway, this place is worth a visit by anybody who wants a great dining experience with top quality dishes. Try it, I bet you'll like it.

I have to tell everybody how wonderful the experience was eating at this restaurant! From the food, to the environment, to the service, to the pricing, all A+! We had an assortment of sushi, all of which was beautifully prepared and delicious! Our server was very attentive and food came out quickly in a beautiful “sushi boat” also served all at once- which I love so you can go back and forth between different tastes in the rolls… The restaurant was clean and decorated festively with really cool piano lounge music playing in the background. The best part was the owner/chef Michael came over to talk to us and explain so much about where they get their fish from -to how they make their pho base and how happy he was to have our business! It was just so refreshing to have a dining out experience like this. It has been a long time since someone has cared so much to have us in their restaurant! We took an order of raw steak pho home for dinner and it was everything that Michael promised it would be! It was full of flavor, authentic, so delicious! I recommend to visit on an empty stomach and ask for Michael when you are there! Talk to him about what fish is the best for that day and what you should order. I’m sure you will not be disappointed! Our new go to for sure!! …Picture is of our first round of sushi-

There was chopped up ends with skin and two bones inside my roll, where clean pieces of fish should have been! It was awful, and not the first time!! I rather pay more at Pacific Sushi and trust what I'm eating.

I came in yesterday, Saturday, 7/15, at 4:50 pm. I was wearing dark gray hospital scrubs, and I picked up my order of 3 rolls and 3 orders of nagiri, for exactly $65.70. Go a head and check your cctv and your records! My son and I have eaten at your, so called establishment, about 7 times, and although underwhelming, last night was the worst "sushi" I have ever paid for! To answer your question.... I am a single parent, and I was getting dinner after a week of full shifts at the hospital, so I didn't come in to return the garbage you have sold me because I was too exhausted to argue with you, as I have attempted to sort out an issue in the past and met a wall with your lack of customer service approach. I decided, however, to write a review that reflects your food and service, as last night you had reached an all time low! Shame on you!! First for selling garbage to people who are not eating there, where its easier to complain, AND for being nasty to an honest paying customer, in order to shut me up! I'm glad I didn't waste my time, on top of my money, by going back to such a rude and...
