If I could give no stars that would be even better Terrible terrible experience I made a reservation through booking.com and I drove 9 hours to the SO CALLED RESORT and I arrived at like 1-2 am and when I arrived there was a problem with the key so had to go back to the office and then when I finally got in my room the room was absolutely disgusting there was food crumbs and chunks behind the nightstand the wall plugs were so damaged I couldn’t even charge my devices or plug anything it kept falling out and I had to watch where I was plugging it in because the electrical was exposed I could have been electrocuted and i had a child that would have been very dangerous the ac vents were absolutely disgusting I couldnt even breath in there I got very sick from it I also did not have enough towels or blankets to accommodate my party and then the next morning when we woke up there were ants in my duffel bag on my clean clothes in my dogs food in my bed and all over the food that wasn’t cleaned up from the previous visitors so that room was not cleaned the pillows were all stained and disgusting I’m glad I brought my own pillows and then there was no microwave in the hotel room at all the tv didn’t work properly so I went to the office when I got up and they told me that I was lying and that they wanted picture proof and so I told them that I had pictures they said why didn’t you come to the office right away and I said I had arrived super late and just drove 9 hours and was very tired so I was just trying to go to sleep and so I told them I was unhappy and wanted some compensation they offered me to go home I said absolutely not possible I just drove 9 hours away from home I would like to stay the other nights and just have a partial refund they offered me 20 dollars back and I said that will not work at all I paid almost 400 to stay three nights and I wanted more than that so I argued with the manager forever on the phone and he yelled at me cussed me out and offered no other resolution so I called booking on my way home and they told me if I paid 131.93 dollars in cancellation fees I would receive my FULL refund so I did that and a few days or more goes by I had not received anything I call again and again and still no resolution just lies on top of lies they contact the property they still refusing to give me my refund and so I have been fighting this for 5 months now and still no refund I’m very unhappy and just want you guys to know to not stay at this so called resort its TERRIBLE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVEN WORSE THE MANAGER IS VERY RUDE AND UNACCEPTABLE DID NOT HELP ONE BIT AND THE HOTEL IS DISGUSTING THEY HAVE AN ANT INFESTATION AND DO NOT CARE just goes to show why they have a horrible rating on google I should have looked but it was the only hotel close enough to where I need to be and also they said in booking.com they had a pool and hot tub and guess what it was closed my entire stay and then the pictures on booking were definitely not the same rooms they were a lot nicer this property needs to be burnt down and bulldozed and the people need to be fired very...
Read moreI was so excited when we got into the room. It was beautiful! And clean! Just loved it all. Then, it slowly began to unravel. First, the bathroom didn't match the rest of the room at all.... not decor wise.... but cleanliness wise. The walls had hair (not ours) in them, the bathtub did not look clean, and had drip marks going down it, plus there were rust stains. I was okay with all of that though. Really. I was still happy with the room. Then, I laid on the bed. It was haaard as a rock. Within 1 hour of laying down to rest before heading out to explore, my lower back was in so much pain. Again, it didn't bug me toooo much. I wasn't exactly happy, because I have back issues and knew it would be a rough night, but I got over it fast. THEN when bedtime came around, I realized something that was just ridiculou when I went to plug my phone in to charge before bed. I was traveling with 4 other people, and we booked the 2 room/3 bed suite. My husband and I took the room with one bed. The lack of wall outlets is ridiculous. For 5 people to have issues finding enough spaces to plug things in in a 2 bedroom booking, without having to unplug any of the appliances that were in there.... that's ridiculous. So, the bedroom I was in had 2 outlets. Of those outlets, only one plug was not being used by the TV or lamp. Now, the lamp did have a USB port and an outlet on it. GREAT! Except that entire outlet that the lamp was plugged in to is idioticly connected to the ROOM LIGHT SWITCH. If you don't have the light switch on, you can't use the outlet. That means..... and read carefully, because I need you to get the problem..... if the overhead light isn't on, the whole outlet won't work. Think it through. Need to charge your phone? Gotta have the light on. Want to turn on the lamp in the middle of the night for something? Nope. Can't. Cause you'd have to be SLEEPING WITH THE LIGHT ON to do so. And you wouldn't need it in that case anyway. And of course, there's no way to shut off the light, unless you use the switch. I have never had this problem. And I travel with extra items that I need to plug in, because of my health. So never have I actually had to think, okay.... do I risk my health tonight to charge my phone, or let it die for my health. We ended up having to unplug the TV, and stretch my cords as far as they could go. Ridiculous. How this place thought that setup was okay is beyond me. If you're coming through and need a place to stay, and don't need outlets, this place is fine, as long as you don't have back problems. Otherwise, go somewhere else. I wish the clean and pretty room could make up for the rest of the issues, but if a room is barely functional in the most basic...
Read moreDanger, Danger Will Robinson! Upon entering office my friend almost tripped, as did the following lady. Advertising on main sign, heated pool, after paying informed closed do to covid-19. 2 Windows, however only half had screens. I, was not advised a fly swatter was needed. I, could not believe no air conditioner, nor fan. The traffic noise, literally kept me up all night! I found it unnerving, the office lady, did not have a mask on, upon leaving a small sign, mentioned, must wear mask, guess employees are exempt?? Curtains broken, one with screen has not been put on correctly, thus allowing more bugs. I had the room on the corner next, to secondary street, stairs, pop machine!! True only 125.00 bucks, including tax. I suggest stay away, false advertising, room felt like a sauna. Did, I get a discount for no pool, didn't show on my friends Bill. This is actually the worst place, I have entered or stayed. Even the old Bon motel was better, in its worst days!! I was with my friend in room 119 July 10 Friday. To the owner, to suggest giving you another chance, why? If, I were the owner, I would offer a discount, hoping my customers would give me another chance! Further change your sign immediately , about, having a pool, show some class and honesty! I paid in advance, was I offered a discount or refund no! Your inn, is by no means, the only place in town. Please, don't tell me, you get you pay for! Stop deceiving your customers, not even your website says, your pool is out of service due to the virus. Your, the owner, you need to be honest, not deceitful!! I am a customer, it's your responsibility, to know the rules on the virus, your the business!! Free coffee, great if the pot had been cleaned it was disgusting! You can call Brookings Inn Resort, bait and switch, fraud!!
