Rancho Viejo — Restaurant in Brookings

Was just driving by when we decided to stop and give it a try. From the outside it did not grab your attention, until you see the person outside barbecuing, and you got a wiff of something good. Inside the place was empty, but that is no surprise as most places are these days because of Covid. What i did see of the inside was very clean looking but i did only go to the front and order my food to go. The young lady that took my order was very friendly and helpful. I ordered 2 shredded beef tacos and she pointed out that they had a taco meal that came with 3 tacos, beans and rice for around $10. i went ahead and ordered that. Soon i had my food and was back on the road. I was surprised that it was on nice study and large aluminum tray with a lid. This made eating in my car very easy without making a mess. Tacos are not a car friendly food, i usually make Big mess when the taco shell breaks and some lands on my lap and in the seat. But not this time. The food was good, but all i ordered was the one meal and that is what I'm reviewing only i have no knowledge of what the menu even looks like or what's even on it. What i do know is my meal was very good and the portion size was enough to share...

Great Food. Great service. Unfortunately there are always jerks out there that can make your dining experience unpleasant if you let them. Dude if you don't know what your food is when you order it and it comes to your table don't blame the servers. You tell them where to place the plates, then you eat some of the food before you decide it's not what you ordered. When the food is recooked and you are served another plate shut up and eat. No you insist to see the food from the first plate because you are claiming they reserved the same food on a different plate. Really. You are the moron for not knowing what you are eating in the first place. Then you insist on looking in the garbage to make sure the first plate of food is in there....OMGsh really. You stand up and make a scene making sure that everyone knows you are the idiot!!!! What exactly were you trying to accomplish? If you want a friendly, sit-down, Mexican restaurant in Brookings, Oregon, Rancho Viejo is a great option! They offer booth seating, fast & friendly service, and a large menu so they're sure to have something you like. My mom says Rancho Viejo has the best Carne Asada dinner plate in town, in case you needed a recommendation!
