Only good things are price, and the fact that it's located near plenty of places to eat which is important for a hotel. The place stinks especially on the 3rd floor, smells like vomit and dirty mop water. They have roaches. And they took money from me. The housekeeping doesn't know what "do not disturb" means. Nor does anyone understand the concept of late checkout, even if you're a diamond member with choice. You ask them for it and they say yes, then when normal checkout time rolls around they're pounding on your door and calling your room sometimes even before the normal checkout time. The building is oddly designed. The first 2 floors are "motel style" meaning the doors to enter the rooms are visible from the parking lot. During warmer months there are massive spiders outside of almost every room due to the exterior lights drawing bugs, if you're on the 3rd floor, it is more "hotel style" so there's an indoor hallway before each room, however if you have to leave the building during a fire or fire alarm you have to go back inside of the building in order to get downstairs because obviously you can't use elevators in those situations. Not that it really matters because there's a 99% chance the elevator is down anyway. And the fire alarm occured back in September 2024, I'm surprised that it even worked given the trouble codes on the panel at the front desk which George Washington probably saw, they've been there that long. I gave this place way more chances than I should have and thats only because of the price. But there's definitely other affordable options especially if you have a car and don't mind driving a bit. They have the audacity to have a deposit now, too, which was not listed on the choice app. (It now is, but was not at the time I last booked here which was like, November of 2024) I didn't have the extra money because I wasn't expecting to need it and they wouldn't let me check in yet kept the money, lied to corporate saying I was a no show. Thankfully corporate gave me enough reward points for 2 free nights which I...
Read moreWhat quality? We travel extensively nationally and internationally and this has been our WORST "hotel" experience. Here's our experience: We rented two 2 queen bed rooms last minute for 2 nights to break up a long trip driving. We spent two nights too many. Let's start with the small stuff: One room was missing one of two batteries in the tv remote. There was no back to the remote to keep the batteries in. The other room had no microwave turn table or the thing for under the turn table. Hallways are not clean. The room floors did not appear clean. Let's just say the curtains are tie dyed. I shudder to think what causes their look. Then the bathrooms: -moldy tubs (need to be regrouted) -1 tub had what looked like shoe sole marks (do not go away with cleaning) -obvious head hairs in 1 tub -the sinks were obviously not clean clean -We went to buy supplies and cleaned the rooms. -Lower than normal faucet water pressure (not like you're used to at your home but not trickling). -One bathroom door did not close completely (always open a crack, so no privacy). -One toilet did not flush unless you held down the flusher until the contents disappeared. There is a smell of cigarettes and weed in the hallways. Asthmatics beware! At check in, we were told the elevator is unreliable. We used it to take our things up at check in and out at check out. Otherwise, we took the stairs. There were visible pieces of garbage on the stairs. We did NOT touch the rails. As the cherry on top, we killed a total of 10 cockroaches during our limited time in the rooms (late night bedtime routine and sleep)-2 others were too high on the walls to reach. We did not dare venture to the pool. In the words of our 7 year old, "this hotel is disgusting". Pardon me for believing that places of lodging should provide the bare minimum cleanliness. We will not be staying at any other...
Read more2nd worst hotel experience in many years of travel. I stayed over on 10/8/24, you can see this review as a verified stay on Choice Hotel's page for this location. This is the second worst hotel experience I've ever had, and I travel for a living. There were homeless people living in the stair wells. People were smoking immediately in front of entrance doors. The 2nd floor elevator call button was missing, with bare wires sticking out. There was a female in the next room with a Slavic accent who looked about 15 with an older man who appeared to be actively pimping/human trafficking her. The lobby reeked of urine. Most of the doors showed signs of having been broken open, and didn't hang right, meaning the rooms were full of bugs. The rooms had strong cigarette smoke odors. The laminate floors were dirty and sticky, the tub wasn't clean. The shower fixture didn't work correctly. Several of the outlets were faulty. The corridors were covered in spiders and spider webs. The breakfast setup was filthy and I wouldn't have even considered eating it. The sink was clearly there before the current counter, and it had mold around the top & bugs coming in to it. The chairs had holes in the upholstery with springs and stuffing sticking out. The only 2 redeeming qualities were strong wifi and (I inspected closely, thankfully all the bedding was white including the under mattress cover when I moved the mattress to inspect) no sign of bed bugs. Absolutely appalling, and a black mark on the Choice Hotel program. If it weren't for the fact that rooms booked on the app can't be refunded, I would never have stayed. I would have walked as soon as I saw the lobby. I should have taken more photos, but I am attaching one I took showing the door gap where the bugs came in. Other reviews back up...
