Banh Mi Vans — Restaurant in Brookside

My sister and I went to this place after shopping around and we ordered our food. I ordered after my sister and the lady at the front didn’t realize that my sister and I weren’t ordering together so when I ordered she apologized and it was totally ok! I reassured her that it was so ok that she didn’t realize that and she told me that she would give me extra meat in my sandwich which she didn’t not have to do but that was so sweet of her!🤎 after we got our food, my sister and I DEVOURED our sandwiches because it was so fresh and delicious! After we ate we didn’t feel sluggish because the sandwiches had lots of fresh vegetables in it which balances out the meat. After that we ended up going back to the place to get more, my sister ordered another sandwich and a coffee but the same lady (I forgot to get her name!) she didn’t put in the coffee that my sister order so when she realized that she ended up giving my sister the coffee for free, she is too sweet and she didn’t have to but she did and she complimented us🥹 I also ended up ordering the sugarcane and kumquat juice which I tried in the car after we left and Jesus!!! I got the bánh mì xiu mai and it was good. Matter of fact it’s in my top 3 and I’ve had bánh mì from a lot of places. I also had the cà phê sữa đá which was also good. They also have other Vietnamese dishes such as broken rice, meat buns, and so on. I had a nice chat with the owner. He’s a really nice guy. He told me they also serve phở on the weekends. I love the greeting I’ve gotten each time I’ve visited. It’s so warm and feels as if you’re a regular.

The food is delicious with bread that’s soft and perfect. So happy they’re here and sharing their food with me.
