My review is not regarding to the property or the rooms, but definitely would like to mention about the manager. He is very rude and disrespectful to his staff, especially for the housekeepers. He always curses and lies about everything. He is greedy about money and if he cannot be a nice to his staff, definitely he cannot take good care about the customers that come every day. He has really bad attitude while he is talking to his staff and being the manager, he doesn't even know his job duties and he cannot even make his schedule right. His wife is working there, and she is also rude just like him. My parents were working there as a housekeeper. One day she had an argument with my mom and she put her hands on my mom. She is in her 30s and my mom is 65. She has no absolute right in this world to put her hands on my mom! She knew there was no camera at the third floor, so for no reason she went on the third floor to argue with my mom while she was peacefully working and cleaning her room. Also, she started to threaten my father. He had a heart attack in September 2023, and she said to My father, He will not be there to see another day tomorrow and I will remove you by telling the owner. She really wants my parents to leave their motel room so her and her family can move into my parent's room. The manager deducted workdays and payments from my parents and started adding it to his wife. We also involved the cops into this matter and made a complaint against the manager and his wife. Since there was no camera, my parents couldn't get justice. According to my parents age, they just wanted to work peacefully and make some money, but because of the new manager and his wife, my parents cannot work there anymore, and the owner also wanted my parents to leave my parents. So, my point is that this property is not in good hands, and I hope the owner understands the value of his staff and that the staff has more experience, nicer attitude, and that is more respectful than the manager.we also tried to call owner but owner never called us back.Being owner of that property he should make sure his camera is working and he should communicate to his other staff members not...
Read moreIf this is a Wyndham franchise, they really need to revoke this place from the owners asap. In today's world, service and efficiency are everything, and this hotel lacks both. After staying in so many hotels, I would say this place would be one of the worst hotels I stayed in. You rather stay in a rundown motel rather than here. Just to give a little background, I worked with business owners and advised on customer experience and business development for 15+ years. The good: This place was close to where I wanted to be, and it has an Applebee's right next door. It is close to many amenities and highways. Price is on point. Ample parking and you can park by your rooms.
The bad: the hotel is not maintained well. The metal stairs are not cleaned well, and elevators smell musty. Rooms are decent size, but when I booked for a non-smoking room, I was greeted with the strong smell of cigarettes once I entered the room. I really didn't mind that much since I saw a lot of truck drivers, and I thought I got what I paid for. However, this is just the beginning. When I turned on the heat, a huge amount of dust came out of there that I started to sneeze and cough. We were too tired to change the room, so I was OK with that as well. I went to put my child's milk in the fridge. However, the fridge was unplugged. Next morning, when I went to take a shower, I could not take a shower properly since the water wasn't going, so I was standing in a pool of water in the bathtub. My wife went downstairs to get some orange juice since they said they served breakfast. It was Saturday and she went down after 9am, the person in the front said "oh I am sorry it's past 9am" while the juice is right there and my child is staring at the machine. I should have understood the owner's mindset when I heard her saying to a customer, "You can go get coffee in your room" while he asked for coffee when I was checking in.
In conclusion, this hotel owner is trying to nickle and dime while every business is trying to provide the best customer experience. Please go stay in a rundown motel, and you will probably...
Read moreBeware: Misleading Photos & Reviews – This Hotel Is in Serious Disrepair
I recently stayed at the Days Inn in Delaware for a two-night visit, arriving late at night to what I thought would be a decent budget hotel based on the online reviews and pictures. Unfortunately, what I walked into was nothing short of a disappointment.
The moment I opened the door to my double room, I was hit with an overwhelming stench of mildew. The smell was so strong it was hard to ignore, and it lingered throughout the entire stay. The only part of the room that seemed remotely clean were the beds, which is hardly comforting given the overall condition of the space.
The bathroom was the worst of all: mold lined the walls and ceiling, and it was clear there had been a poorly patched ceiling leak in the corner of the room. When I turned on the bathroom sink, the water emitted a foul, stale odor as if it hadn’t been run in weeks — it took over 30 minutes of running the water before the smell began to fade. The shower stall was visibly patched and in poor condition, with mildew and grime along the edges. Dust and dirt lined the floors, suggesting the room had not been cleaned thoroughly between guests.
To top it off, the property itself had a constant odor of mildew and sewage, and the ice machines were broken. This hotel is severely run down and in desperate need of a full renovation. Also note, the pool was never opened. The photos online do not represent the current state of this property — do not be fooled.
I want to note that the front desk staff were kind and courteous, and the towels provided were clean. But sadly, that’s where the positives end. For $110 per night, this was a complete waste. This property is not even worth $40 per night in its current condition.
Bottom line: stay away. Spend your money elsewhere for a safe, clean, and...
