Extremely disappointed. Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Before we left, I asked the front desk what time the bar/kitchen closed. The pleasant woman at the front desk told us we could order at minimum, a limited menu until 1 a.m. in the bar area. We went into the bar area at 11:15 p.m., sat at a table at which point the bartender shouted to our table that “there’s no tables, what do you want?!” we placed a drink order and asked about food. The bartender then stated there was no food available. The bartender was extremely rude and dismissive. We felt rushed and like we were an inconvenience to the bartender, despite the fact that there was another large table seated in the bar area. Super disappointing as we planned our evening on being able to order food and drinks at the hotel. Had we known they were going to close early, we would have stayed where we were and ordered food there. The bartender was a severe disappointment as every other staff member we encountered was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Even if the kitchen was closed, he didn’t have to be so rude about it. Thanks for ending our weekend on a...
Read moreI ordered a Calamari appetizer that was very disappointing. They served it in a soup bowl to make it look bigger than it was; however, the actual amount of the portion was VERY small. I was going to have it for a meal, but it was so small I had to order something else. I counted the pieces of calamari as I ate them. The total amount was 11 bites. The cost of the dish was $19.00…! That’s a total cost of $1.73 for every bite..! That’s totally RIDICULOUS! I’ve ordered calamari from other restaurants before and have never had an experience like this. I ordered a burger, which was good, that came with sweet potato fries; $2.00 up-charge. Burger was good; however, the calamari was a ripoff!!! • Food - 2 stars only because of the calamari • Service was a Solid 5 stars!! Emma was Great!! • Atmosphere was a 5 in my opinion… my style of an atmosphere. Your style may differ..! —- Total cost of Calamari, burger with sweet potato fries, and Xtra Marinara sauce was...
Read moreMy husband and I traveled to Wilmington, DE from Wilmington, NC to photograph a wedding. I have anaphylactic food allergies and was concerned about possibly having a reaction this close to the wedding. We chose to eat at the Market Kitchen and Bar inside of the Hilton Wilmington/Christiana where we are staying. Charles, one of the Chefs, came out to our table and helped me select something that would be safe to eat. I ate the NY strip steak (cooked to perfect medium perfection) and double broccolini. The favor was amazing and they were both cooked perfectly. Charles came out to check on my food and let me know that Keith made my steak. If you have a chance to eat at this Restuarant, I would highly recommend it… especially if you have food allergies. I was kept safe and I got to enjoy a delicious, flavor-filled meal! Thank...
