To whom it may concern,|| I am writing to express my deepest disappointment and dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Brunswick GA. I believe it is important to bring to your attention the issues I encountered during my visit, as they significantly impacted the quality of my experience and travel. First and foremost, upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted by a very nice young lady check-in desk. Furthermore, when I finally entered my room, it seemed to be clean condition. The cleanliness standards were satisfactory, with no visible dust and dirt. I had been travelling since early morning and was in meeting most of the day. When I got to bed, I encountered bad itching throughout the night. The next morning when I got out of bed getting ready to take my shower, I notice my upper body look like I had measles. But it wasn’t measles it was fleas. I went to the front desk and asked them to have all the bedding removed. I would have thought the front desk would have had more concern, but they did not. It was almost as if it was an everyday thing. I would think a hotel like Fairfield would take better care. If they are going to let people bring dogs, cats into the rooms. When I checked out of my room, I show them and told them once again about being bit and maybe the room had fleas. Once again it seemed as if not something new. It took me 4 days having everything washed having my truck sprayed. Even though I still had 3 days of travel. When I made it to Savannah for my next 2 days of meeting, I had to everything washed again and sprayed my truck again. I had never stayed at a Fairfield what a letdown, and it did not meet the expectations I had for a hotel of your reputation. I must emphasize that my purpose in bringing these concerns to your attention is not to be unduly critical but rather to provide constructive feedback. As a paying guest, I had anticipated a comfortable and enjoyable stay at your establishment, and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of that. I kindly request that you take these matters seriously and address them promptly. I believe it is crucial for your hotel to reassess its cleanliness standards, conduct necessary maintenance, and improve the overall level of service provided to guests. The sad part is I will be traveling to that area and I most likely not stay in your flea hotel.||Thank you for your understanding and...
Read moreI had a really unpleasant experience checking in. I got in at 2am and our group had a reservation (govt rate) and I was the only one that haven’t checked in yet. Our admin updated the reservation to my name from the original person who was going to get the room. I understand there are policies and probably confusion with the reservation. I wasn’t at all too much bothered by that. But the attitude of the person in the front desk, Ambre, was not acceptable. He was rude to me from the beginning. From the time I got there, to how he asked me my name, ID, reservation number and etc. I told him that person on the reservation is no longer checking in because I replaced him, he wasn’t willing to work with me. So I said he can just give me a room at a government rate and I’ll work it out with my work the next day, he said “technically there is no room.” He wasn’t willing to work with me. I was so shocked with his attitude and demeanor. Eventually he got me a room otherwise I would’ve slept on the streets at 2am. I asked for his name and he said “Ambre” and asked for his last name and he didn’t want to give it to me. He said his first name is all I need.
I have never had any problem like this with Marriott. I have been a member for a few years now, I travel a lot for work and this is the first time I was treated like this. His customer service is not the Marriott standard...
Read moreWhen I was checking in the desk clerk asked me how many in the room? I said to her how many was on the reservation? Mind you it was just me standing there. She then said, well I needed to know just in case something happened with the room? I then said to her, you didn't ask the lady in front of me that and what was going to happen to the room? She couldn't answer? I told her I don't hang with with reckless folks and if the other hotel (which was Marriott sister hotel) didn't asked me that because I just checked out because I had to split my nights up due to hotels in the area being sold out or any other hotel asked me that what gave her the right to ask me that or say what she said to me? No answer with a lobby full of people looking at us. I'm from Brunswick and was home visiting family and doing business and as much as I've stayed at this hotel I've never encountered this. Then to top it off that same day which was that Saturday the power went out just as I was ironing so I can get ready for a function I had to attend that evening and stayed out for hours!! I don't know if I'll ever returned to this Fairfield again and I used my Marriott points to be treated like this and the power to go out for hours and it's really not about the power? It's the treatment I received when...
