Giving 3 stars because it could have been better. Was moderately busy , they did have several empty tables. We were seated quickly, only waited a few minutes. The server could have been more prompt and attentive . I had wanted more then just the water they poured and asked more then once what they had and was ignored. There was 3 of us. $50 for a filet is a bit much considering you cannot substitute any of the sides for anything .. what is on the menu is what you get. Well not everyone likes certain things especially a child. My child got the filet but won’t eat the sides ( other sides they had for other meals yes, such as grits or fruit,). Steak was good she said so no complaints there. We did order the garlic bread appetizer.. it’s very small so heads up to anyone, it’s not for a table. It woukd be fine for one person. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. It was good but they really could have done better with the sauce, like actually putting an adequate amount. They really went cheap and skimped on Alfredo?? Come on. It’s cheap to make and just one more spoon full woukd have been enough. There wasnt enough to evenly coat the noodles. Other then that it was good. Portions are small here. Especially for this area and the price. My husband had the chicken parm and same thing. It was good but they went cheap and barely put any sauce on the plate. I was excited for a new restaurant here because there aren’t many good ones, we probably won’t be back for a while . I had gone to this place when it was Harris steak and seafood. They did a nice job with the remodel, nice floors and new tables . Good color scheme but need to tone the lights down a bit for more of a dinner atmosphere. It was like sitting in Sam’s club bright or at a fast food place with...
Read moreAs several others have said, the hostess is very rude. The website says reservations optional, however she was pretty adamant about not wanting to seat us. We had a group of 8 go for dinner last night. I tried to make reservations, Open Table will only allow you to make reservations for 6 or less online. More than that you have to call the restaurant. I tried both. No answer when calling, so we decided to go, it said repeatedly that they could take reservations for 6 even when pulling into parking lot. The restaurant is empty. One lady, older than the teenagers around her, with long dark hair, is pretty rude and blunt and refuses to work with us, saying reservations only and if it wouldn't let you then nothing is available. I told her that wasn't true given what I just wrote. A couple of us look at each other and say we'll gladly take our group somewhere else and turn to leave. She decides to put two tables together and now has availability. Another lady walked in while we were waiting on the table and she tells her she'll make her a reservation, but she can't come back until after 7:00, it's only 5:30 now and the restaurant is empty. The lady was only wanting dinner for herself. We get seated, and our server is a nice and friendly lady we know from a different restaurant. She was great. We order, the food is nothing to rave about. Chicken Parm is overcooked and pasta is mushy, others in the group say pretty much the same on their meals. When we left about 7:00, the restaurant was still only half full, so if they are turning away customers to keep empty tables, they will eventually run into issues. None of us will go there again. We all agreed, it wasn't worth the seating hassle and the food is mediocre at best with...
Read moreA Complete Disaster – Worst Italian Dining Experience
I had one of the worst dining experiences at Agio Italian & Steak Restaurant.
I ordered spaghetti with aglio e olio sauce – one of the most basic and authentic Italian dishes. Instead, they brought me spaghetti in tomato sauce. I waited nearly one hour just to get a server to clarify my order. Shockingly, the server had no idea what aglio e olio was, and when the manager came, he also didn’t know. I had to repeat myself almost 30 times, and even after showing them online what aglio e olio means, the manager dismissed it by saying “Oh, that’s just an outdated online menu.”
To make it worse, the bill was $60 for this disaster. Paying that much for a meal that was wrong, poorly handled, and served by staff who had no clue about Italian cuisine is absolutely unacceptable.
This is completely unacceptable for a place calling itself an Italian restaurant. If the staff doesn’t even know one of the most classic Italian pasta sauces, then what are they serving? On top of that, the service was painfully slow, careless, and disrespectful of my time.
Overall, this was a total disaster – poor knowledge, terrible service, and outrageously overpriced. I will never return and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone expecting a genuine...
