Staying at a hotel very close by, this restaurant was an easy choice to walk over and pick up a meal to take back to my room. After reading all the reviews, some giving it high marks while others giving it very low marks, I decided to give it a try. I went for the shrimp and grits. Brunswick being a Southern coastal town, I figured that would be an easy dish and I wouldn't be disappointed. To be honest, the individual flavors of all the ingredients made a great combination. However, it was all completely overwhelmed by salt. I could not finish eating it. I read an earlier review that complained of the salt content of their dish. Apparently that complaint was not taken seriously. If management is reading this review, please tell the chef to back off on the salt. Let the individual diner add salt according to their preference. As one who travels frequently, I always order a meal to go. More often than not, there is little thought given to the presentation compared to one dining in the restaurant. This dish was typical of what I get.

Before ordering the fish sandwich, my wife asked the server what kind of fish was used. She was told it was swai, a name we had not heard before. Upon further questioning, it was explained that it was like cod. It turns out this is not quite true as swai is a species of catfish, which my wife does not like. I feel the server should have been upfront and explained that it is a freshwater fish, not an ocean fish. What bothered me most about our experience was when we received the bill. A “non cash adj” of $1.00 was added as a separate line item. When I asked the server about this I was told that is added to every bill. I disagreed with this charge and so did she, but she did not offer to remove the charge from our bill. If this is the “new” normal, count me out. We will no longer frequent establishments that punish their customers in this way. At the very least I would appreciate it if this practice were mentioned before being seated or before ordering, thus giving us the option to dine here or leave and eat elsewhere.

The food was nothing like what we expected. The drinks were good but that is all. I had the shrimp alfredo and it was extremely Hot and watery and my shrimp were tough. My husband had the Patty melt and the bread was super buttery but the meat had no seasoning. My daughter enjoyed her pepperoni pizza and fruit so that was nice. Overall we did not enjoy this experience. For this to be a replacement for Millhouse, they are doing it no justice and I give honest reviews on places we've eaten. We wanted the oyster Rockefeller but one girl went to check the price when the other girl said they were out. What does it matter the price if you don't have any for purchase?!?? Ughhh... needless to say my husband did Not enjoy this experience and neither did I. We will be going some other place for dinner whenever we do go out again. Pickings are very slim now that Covid has effected alot of companies but Harris's will Not be getting our coins again... Don't waste your time people.

Everything is fixable.... Placed order at 6:24PM according to receipt. The ticket reflected order correct. Complete mistake not to check an order I assume to be correct. Order consisted of 32 Traditional wings and what was supposed to be a large steak fry (believe it only comes in a side order - no big deal). Arrive at 7:20; over the 25-minute time stated to be ready. When I arrived parking lot had front row parking as well side parking. The inside had a few tables cleared and ready for guest but two parties up front waiting to be seated; they may have been understaffed. I do not fault them on the service at this point. On the way home we ate the fries which were very delicious! Home to Harris Steak is roughly 12-15minutes. When we untied the bag to sit down to eat, we noticed we had 24 BONELESS wings. I dialed Harris Steak after a minute the phone was picked up by a lady (Thank you for calling Harris Steak please hold). We sat on hold for about 3 minutes and thought it may be easier to drive there while still on hold so our food could be cooked on the way. We pull into the parking lot going on 20minutes on the phone (18-19minutes on hold alone). Guy states he was sorry for the hold. I let him know we were pulling in and our ToGo order was incorrect. He placed us on hold again to go to Kitchen to see about how long it would take to cook our wings. He then tells us that the kitchen is out of Traditional but could cook us boneless or we could receive a refund of our $55.xx. I walked inside and the lady who placed our order was there and goes let me grab a manager we won't need the food. She comes back and tells me her manager is coming but she did need the food. I grab the food out the car to come back into a guy at the front desk who stated he would grab the manager and be right back. A little chaotic for a refund. The manager on duty stated she was looking for the order (even with the receipt I provided). After a few minutes someone from the Kitchen comes up front; at the time the lady who took our order was also up front with the manager. The kitchen lady stated an 8 piece wing was left earlier in the kitchen. I arrived around 8:20 to receive my refund almost two hours from the time of the order placed over half an hour driving to and from the store for them to just realize my partial order was never picked up. It seemed like a great option for dinner. We understand Toucans is closed temporarily and wanted to support them still. What I cannot understand is how the situation was handled. Everyone wanted to provide a reason why it was this or why it was that. Not one person accepted responsibility for the restaurants error. You feel like just another person walking in the door with the staff. You can blame staff shortage, inflation, a bad day for reactions, another employee; at the end of the day the only person you can blame is yourself as a staff/team you are a whole. I do not believe this experience is worth a one star to hurt a business... Room for...

If I could give no stars I would! We ate there for the first time last night and won’t be back. The server was more interested in chit chatting with another female sitting in the restaurant than waiting on her tables. The kitchen staff brought out our meals. My Husband’s Chopped Steak came out wrong as it was supposed to plain. They took it back and left him with his fries to eat while he waited for his steak. The server appeared and stated there was mix up in kitchen and why it didn’t come out plain. She failed to find if we needed anything as I did have my meal. Once the kitchen staff brought out my Husband’s Chopped Steak. My Husband asked for 57 sauce which she did bring out to him but never checked to make sure the steak was alright. She appeared again at our table and asked if my Husband needed more sweet tea and he said no and went off to chit chat. My Husband was done with his steak and did want more tea but while stilling eating his meal! Once we were both done we looked around for our server and another server came over asked if we needed anything and my Husband said yes for our check. She pulled it up and came back to our table asked if we had ordered two of the Chopped Steaks. We said no. So She went to go find a manager to fix our ticket. Our server brought out our ticket and explained she had to ring it in twice to account for two chopped steaks being made but second one was taken off because it wasn’t correct the first time around. We waited for our server to come back so we could pay. When she did finally return she asked if we needed change back. This something a all seasoned server would know not to ask. She went to cash out our ticket and roughly 10 minutes or so later she returns puts the change on our table and goes to greet a new table that had been sitting waiting on her to appear. Secondly, a seasoned server would have had change to cash tickets with. And to top everything off she shorted us on the change back! Granted it was only one dollar but still $50.05 minus $38.05 is $12.00 not $11.00. We won’t be back. We were hoping to find another place to eat besides Logan’s and Pizza Inn in Brunswick looks like we have to...

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary and we had the worst experience ever. The waitress Michalea S. was rude and unprofessional from the start. When my husband asked for silverware she reached across me to the other side of the table, picked up a set of silverware and slammed it down in front of my husband and said "here is your silverware." She then proceeded to ignore us anytime we were trying to flag her down. She was standing around and talking, when we got the attention of another waiter to please send our waitress over, she proceeded to ignore us once again and go to a completely different table. All we wanted to ask was for some crackers for my husbands oysters. Afterwards food came, brought by someone different who was much more pleasant. No follow up on the dinner. After looking around and trying to find our waitress and to no avail I got up and went to the host stand for our check. The waitress happened to be up front and was sitting down and rolling silverware. When she realized I was at the stand she got up, no apology and no remorse and she asked me if I was ready for my check and I responded with "We've been ready." She was practically standing over my shoulder as I wrote on the check "No tip, she was rude and unprofessional." She then proceeded to snatch the receipt out of my hand and screamed at me "To get out of her restaurant and not come back." My husband and I walked away without a receipt, thank God we have a picture of it, and said "We'll be sure to tell all our friends and family to not come here."

Otherwise the food was good, we eat here occasionally, the food is always good and the service is always wonderful. We have never before been treated so rudely. This server ruined our anniversary and we will not be dining here again. My husband and I decided to try again for a dinner out for our anniversary next weekend, but it...
