My husband and I have been members at this Planet Fitness for about a year now and don't usually have any issues with the staff, as they are normally kind and respectful. We have a routine and usually go in from Sunday to Thursday. Sundays the staff are always different. We went in around 7 today, October 22, and when we go to check in the girl at the desk always says that they are closing at 8. 15 minutes before closing they always walk up to me to tell me they are closing in 10 minutes. This happens every single Sunday. However, today I went in with my husband, and when we were nearing the end of our workouts on the bikes, the male staff member stopped near me. I didn't pay much mind to it because I thought he was cleaning a machine in front of me. I start to realize that he is still standing there and not moving, mind you I have my AirPods in and am looking at my phone but I felt like he was staring after many seconds went by and looked up to see him looking at me raises his hands up with 10 fingers and motions to tell me that they are closing in 10 minutes. I found this encounter to be quite creepy and felt harassed when he did that. I don't understand why he would just stand there to stare and wait for me to acknowledge him. I told my husband what happened and he went up front to share his grievances with how I'd been treated. Instead of apologizing, both staff members continued to try to talk over my husband and deny any wrongdoing, further inflaming the situation. We both left feeling dejected and not wanting to go back. Read moreI used to love going to planet fitness until just recently! I had a problem with another person working out in the building wearing NO MASK and he was coughing& way to close for comfort. I had told the man 3 times to stay clear from me or I was going to inform the front. I was so beyond frustrated at this point. I saw personnel walk through the gym a few times and it was clear that this man was sick! So I went to complain and told them to cancel my subscription immediately and I would not return! Then 3 months later MIND YOU, 3 months later I get billed for a membership that was suppose to be canceled. Why didn’t they charge me the other months I would have taken care of it then.. the young lady I spoke to the first time was really helpful. I told her that I will be recording all conversations! Then I spoke with manager VICTORIA I believe this was my second time calling sense staff never has any management on the floor& not only did she rush me off the phone which is fine, but she told me that I would be refunded within 10-30 days from a third party company. COOL! 30 days later I called today and spoke with Cynthia & come to find out MY REFUND WAS NEVER SUBMITTED SO NOW I HAVE TO WAIT AN ADDITIONAL 30 days when I shouldn’t have been charged to begin with. Planet fitness promotes this safe haven! That is not what I experienced & when I tried to address the situation they took it too lightly for me. COVID-19 is nothing to play with and I’m sick of young individuals treating it as such! Very disappointed & I will be moving this matter to the next tier! What a shame!

Read moreUpdate 09/13/2024 This company is a joke. Social planet is very unhelpful. Seems like they are there to be a safe of complaints. The complaint goes no where. What type of company moves off of zero resolution. There is no one to make a complaint to about this horrible manager. That's why he is so arragnot. I highly recommend no one ever use a planet fitness. Use a real gym not this money pit!

If I could give 0 stars I would. The manager at this gym is absolutely horrible. I came to him to make a complaint about a group of women (Amy) making up rumors about me and talking about my personal information with other members. In that whole conversation he never asked me their names because he is friends with these people. He already knew what was going on but lied and claimed he never heard of these people. All he kept saying was that doesn't sound like a gym and What are you going to do to change the situation. I was floored by his condensing tone. I canceled my membership to get a email of termination due to policy violation. I wish that surprised me but I didn't due to the manager being completely unfit for that job. I suggest he learns how to speak to members or you will have a empty gym! He also needs to go by FACTS AND NOT FEELINGS!
