Best fries of my life. The crisp level was to perfection. A big old plate of them. I ordered the hot seafood salad. Everything about the salad hit the spot, from its fresh romaine, lettuce and raw tomatoes to its perfectly cooked scallops, tiny shrimp, and bacon flavor. I also appreciate the tanginess of the vinaigrette, and found the flavor unique. I also ordered an oyster shooter, which I found refreshing and tasty. And don’t get me started on the excellent service. My waitress Jordan was outstanding with her warmth and attentiveness. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Many gluten free options. Looking forward to returning to this restaurant when I’m back at Cannon Beach!

Local Grill and Scoop in Cannon Beach is really easy to see when walking or driving on N Hemlock Street. What is really nice is that they serve a full menu even between lunch and dinner, the time we had arrived. And like many of the restaurants in CB they are super pet friendly with a very spacious outdoor patio area. I had the Blackened Halibut Fettuccine which had a nice flare and the more I ate it the more I wanted more! It was a large cut of Halibut that was as fresh and well cooked as they come. My kids had the Crab Melt which had large chunks of (real) crab; and the Chicken Caesar Salad which was solid. From start to finish the service was exceptional!

Exactly the kind of dining experience for lunch that I'd hope for on the Oregon Coast! Better than the rating implies. We were greeted quickly, and seated immediately on the patio outside. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was served faster than expected. The crab cake appetizer was delicious. Side salads were good. The blue cheese dressing was runnier than I prefer, but the flavor was good. Had the clam chowder bread bowl, salmon sandwich, and Crab Melts. Everything was visually great. Flavor was enjoyable. Server kept our drinks filled. Highly recommend eating here!

The location of Local in relation to the shopping in Cannon Beach is fantastic and the carpentry of the interior is phenomenal. Other than that, I cannot recommend this joint. We went for breakfast and left experiencing the worst food we had eaten in years.

She had the short stack pancakes. Underdone. Barely any color showing that it had touched a warm, if even a hot, pan. One inch in and you were eating dough. The syrup was warm on one half of the plate and cold on the other side. The butter was ice cold. Coffee? Never offered. Any "I noticed you didn't even eat any of your food; was it not to your liking"? Nope.

He had a Wild Mushroom omelette with Swiss cheese. The mushrooms were fresh and tasty but the rest was a lesson in what an omelette is not. Omelette itself was griddle cooked, meaning it came out paper thin. It came in a color that can best described as palor-yellow and the flavor more resembled an egg-mix rather than fresh egg. The Swiss cheese? A thin slice laying on top rather than shredded or layered inside the omelette. It must have been an afterthought as it was not melted. It slid right off on every attemtpt to cut through the omelette. Luke warm, as well. Home fries? According to who? A touch of paprika on slightly undercooked, unsalted and unseasoned potatoes is not a home fry.

I avoided the toast although it looked tasty. Why? How about watching the server butter it without gloves after he wiped his nose with the back of his hand? Server was unfriendly in a bored, it's-too-early kind-of-way. We saw two other employees, neither of which carried a smile. All three had a lack of physical professionalism about them (rumpled and stained shirts, unshaven, and a just-woke-up look)

We should've noticed something was wrong when at 9 AM on a Saturday morning we were the only diners in...

Went there recently on 07/20/18 for late lunch while visiting cannon beach for the day with my girlfriend. The food was decent quality and cooked well. I don't think it's worth what they're charging personally. The staff was low quality. as we were waiting to be seated a woman came in asking if she could pay her check because she was tired of sitting in the hot July sun. I think the weather was perfect but that's besides the point. Most of the staff didn't look like they were over the age of seventeen and didn't take their job seriously. After we were sat down it was what looked to be the manager who finally came and took our order. He was polite and friendly. We ordered a refillable lemonade for us to share and after I had consumed all of the water in my glass and our lemonade was gone, no one came to ask us if we wanted a refill on our $3.25 lemonade. We observed at least 3 or 4 of the young staff members standing around behind the counter laughing and joking while we waited about 10 minutes for a refill on our lemonade and our water. The manager finally came back around and the young staff sprang to action and started serving tables and he came around and asked if we wanted a refill. Mind you there were a handful of people sitting outside and maybe two other couples or small parties sitting inside so it's not like they were slammed with customers and low on staff. The manager seems to be the only person their with any common sense of how to wait on customers. To sum it up, the food was decent but overpriced (most of the restaurants on the coast are over priced because apparently it's harder to cook chain restaurant quality food on the beach) and the wait staff was fairly lack luster in their ability to...

This place was absolutely horrible. I definitely recommend that you dont eat here. The food had no taste. Our service was bad. To begin with, we were waiting to be seated. We got seated by the window which was nice. The party behind us was able to order before us. So we had to wait a while before the waitress even came to our table. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, buffalo wings. We didnt get our appetizer until we actually got our food. And even after we ordered our meals, the waitress delivered the wrong food to our table. She kept bringing us other diners' food. Finally got our food after a long wait, 35 min. Luckily we had great company. The food came and it had no flavor at all. My husband and I had the clam chowder, his was cold and mine was lukewarm. We were both hungry so we ate it anyways. My daughter and granddaughter had spaghetti and it was dry with the exception of clumps if tomatoes and ground beef. Prison spaghetti tastes better than this I was told. We ordered dessert bcuz we were still hungry and waitress again brought the wrong dessert to the table. When I paid my bill, I was asked how was the food, I replied, "horrible" and she just answered with ok and she looked at her cel phone the whole time at the register. I dont think she even cared. So if your ever in that area, dont even give this place a try. My fish and chips were gross. Save your money and go somewhere else. They dont even deserve the 1 star I had to give but wanted to...
