Lighthouse Inn — Hotel in Cannon Beach

Let's start with the bed... People come to cannon beach to see big rocks, not to sleep on one! No, but really, the mattresses are awful. Luckily for us the sofa bed was MUCH more comfortable. The staff was hit and miss with the friendliness, the two ladies who work the front desk were not very nice. Anytime we had a question their answers had a very rude tone. (One with really short hair and one who's a little older) The only time they were nice is when we checked-out. I did not feel welcomed at all. The lady who runs the breakfast buffet was so nice, and so was one named Debbie (I think?). My husband and I stayed two nights at the lighthouse Inn, and I can happily say I won't ever return. We felt singled out by the staff for no real reason. Too excited about the bunnies maybe? Haha. No, I don't really know. Our first baby free vacation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we both couldn't wait to leave. We love cannon beach and visit quite frequently, I was very excited to try the lighthouse Inn. It's very cute, and well decorated. On the property wh ere you have the free continental breakfast (about 1.5 miles away) Wild bunnies run around, if you have carrots they will come up to you. First time on the Oregon Coast, first time to Cannon Beach, first time at the Lighthouse Inn. We're now looking forward to our next visit. At first, I thought I might be disappointed in not staying at the Inn at Cannon Beach, the sister hotel--as that is where all of the amenities are located--but we truly enjoyed the solitude of the Lighthouse Inn. Theses 1-room suites are spacious and cozy. We enjoyed a constant lite breeze off the ocean, and noticed very little noise from Hemlock Street traffic. Complementary breakfast is provided at the Inn, and it was wonderful. Far better than the usual self-serve fare you would expect at a hotel. The Lighthouse Inn is within a comfortable walking distance of downtown Cannon Beach, as well as restaurants and galleries. We had a wonderful time and would recommend either of the hotels to anyone. Such a great experience! Very friendly staff. Our room was huge, had a fireplace, and was immaculate! We loved the kitchenette stocked with lots of clean dishes, a microwave, and a hot plate. I was extremely impressed with the elaborate complimentary breakfast! The hotel offers free dvd rentals and complimentary microwaveable popcorn! The room comes with a bag of saltwater taffy, and you’ll be offered freshly baked cookies on check-in. Hotel is located a couple blocks from the beach. The only negative was the water pipes are in the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom, so every time the upstairs unit used water (sink, shower, toilet flush), you’d hear it.
