Permanent jewelry was supposed to be a special experience, but it felt messy and rushed.

I brought my own Figaro necklace chain to get made into two anklets for me and a friend. The lady tried to start cutting up my necklace immediately, and I had to ask her to slow down to make sure she cut it in the right spot. She ended up cutting it too long and I had to get another chain link removed but it was the wrong one that was cut since the chain links were different lengths so then I had to get another one removed but that one was cut in the wrong place so it was unbalanced. The jump ring should have been in the middle of the four chain links instead of having 1 on one side and 3 on the other side as shown in the attached image.

Since my necklace chain has already been cut, it can't be fixed anymore. It's a PERMANENT thing, it was supposed to be special. I was visibly uncomfortable and stressed during the appointment, to the point where my friend was concerned, but the lady didn't slow down at all. My friend was also upset by how fast she went.

There was also no chair, the lady wanted us to just stand there and balance our foot on a horizontal bar between the table legs. I specifically asked for a chair to be moved over so we could sit down when something was being WELDED onto our ankles. She also did not use a piece of leather that I hear that other permanent jewelry places use to protect the skin underneath during the welding. These things made us feel incredibly unsafe.

For those of you who prefer a bit of privacy or seclusion with something like this, this place was at a booth in the middle of the mall and not private at all.

I don't normally leave reviews, but I'm feeling so angry and upset at this point. My necklace is ruined, and the anklets suck. We are considering just cutting off the anklets completely so that we don't have to live with it because it's associated with bad...
