On March of 2024 I purchased a power sectional with the platinum protection plan from a Raymour & Flanigan in Wilmington DE. On March of 2025 the left arm side was not working, would not close. It took a technician 7 weeks to come and look at the issue. He was here for two minutes and told me it had a bent frame. I only used that section the one time. It’s only me using the sectional. Later that day I received a call from customer service stating that my sectional was discontinued and I would be receiving a credit on my account to purchase a replacement. I would need to go to the place of purchase to pick a replacement. Which I told the gentleman on the phone I would not be doing, as I now live 2 hours away. To which he applied you need to talk to the store manger about that issue. Two days later I received a voice message stating I have nine days to come in and find my replacement. (Their technician took seven weeks to come and look at the problem) After speaking with Heather she informed me that I could shop online, but I really should go into the store. Also, she did extend my purchase time. After shopping their website for 5 days, I found nothing. The size, color or style didn’t match my needs. I have a small space where my current sectional fits. I can’t do a sofa and loveseat/chair combination. With that she suggested I use the refund on another furniture purchase like a mattress.I don’t need any other furniture items. I just moved here a year ago. I need a power sectional that fits in my living space. At this point I asked if they could just take the defective power sectional and refund my purchase. To which she applied no refunds. After not hearing from Heather for 10 days, l call the store and spoke with Mike and basically got nothing but two wrong phone numbers. Finally, I understand that your policy is “No Refunds”, but where does that leave me-I’m stuck looking at a broken sectional. There’s nothing in your store that works, at the present time. Couldn’t...
Read moreMy wife and I recently finished our basement and planned to move our 17 year old Tempur-pedic mattress (which is still in fantastic condition and we love) to the new guest room in the basement. We were recommended by a friend who had recently purchased a mattress at the Mattress Firm Wilmington North, so we made our way to the store. We spent a lot of time on Friday evening with Hazeeq, who couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful as we went through the feeling out process although we generally knew what we wanted already...another Tempur-pedic. After keeping Hazeeq after store hours we finally landed on the mattress and put in the order. Hazeeq was great throughout and he was able to get our mattress scheduled for delivery just a day later on Sunday which was fantastic.
Everything went smooth with the delivery and set up of the Smart Bed that we also purchased. However, after a day or two of sleeping on the new mattress we knew we had gotten the model that was too firm. So, we reached out to Hazeeq during the week and let him know we felt like we had purchased the mattress that was too firm. He advised that they typically ask customers to give it 30 days before doing the free exchange (you have up to 120 day sleep trial). We knew we had the wrong one but said we'd give it through the week and we'd likely come see him on Friday to process the comfort exchange. When we showed up on Friday Hazeeq was happy to see us and had no problem processing the comfort exchange. We ended up going with a medium Tempur-pedic ProAdapt and the order was again processed so we'd have our mattress on Sunday which again was fantastic. We've now been sleeping on the new mattress and Smart Bed for a couple weeks and couldn't be happier. Thanks Hazeeq for everything...hopefully we won't see you again for another 17...
Read moreIf you are one for reading reviews before buying please take the time to read this review: Let me first start off by saying that Terrance is the person to see about your sleeping needs! He gets to know about his shoppers by asking general health questions but not too far that he pry’s into your life history where you would need to sign a HIPAA form lol. The reason I learned from why he does this is because Terrance wants to get you on a mattress that fits your sleeping style and help with some “problems” while sleeping.
We were able to narrow the selection down to 3 different types and makes of mattresses. He went above and beyond to check other places within Mattress Firm for what we liked. We ended up purchasing a very nice mattress at a great price. He also suggested a power frame which we went with but, a lower end model since we (well...the Wife) didn’t want the one with all the bells and whistles! Terrance was able to put everything together in a package within our budget! As we tested out different products, we had our children with us and we were the last customers of the night. He let them have balloons and play and was very understanding of children. He stayed and finished the sale even after the store was past closing time since we were his priority!
Terrance has been one of the few and far between salesman with integrity and upfront with honesty (as far as I could tell) since I have bought plenty of furniture over the years. So, if you made it through this review and in the market for a new mattress or just want questions answered on the many different types of mattresses, go see Terrance Lyles at Mattress Firm Market Square in North Wilmington located at 5617...
