Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Charlottesville

Disappointed with our recent visit to Cold Stone. First off, the “cold stone” clearly wasn’t living up to its name—the ice cream was already melting before we even stepped outside. It was runny, soft, and lacked that rich, creamy texture you expect when paying a premium. We ordered two medium sizes that felt more like smalls, both in portion and satisfaction. For nearly $20, we expected better quality and at least a somewhat generous serving. Instead, it felt overpriced and underwhelming. Honestly, we could’ve gone to the grocery store, grabbed a pint of Ben & Jerry’s each for less money, and still had leftovers for later. At least that would’ve stayed frozen. Cold Stone used to be a fun treat, but this experience left a bad taste in our mouths—literally and financially. Not sure we’ll be coming back anytime soon unless they step...

While Cold Stone has amazing ice cream, they close early randomly and you never know their true hours. I looked online and it said 10 pm closing time on a Saturday. I arrive at the store at 9:23 pm and they said they were closed. When my husband said that the store hours online and on the door say 10 pm, the girl behind the counter said “I’m sorry but we’re closed.” Either fix your hours online and on the door or stay open for the time that’s on the door and online. I was disappointed that I could not have one of my favorite treats and I do not encourage anyone to go there an hour or two before closing...

My husband and I go to this Cold Stone once every 1-2 months. We are usually JUST satisfied. BUTTTT, recently we stopped in after a tough day of tending to our sick puppy and an employee named Savannah made us two of the most delicious treats we've had from this particular location! We were beyond satisfied!! She was preparing to close up shop around 9:30 but she served us with a smile! We enjoyed our shake and ice cream so much that we called back just to tell her she made our night!...
