Canipe Brothers Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Charlottesville

Ate here for the first time with my father, sister and brother-in-law for lunch. My sister suggested the place and it said when they lived closer they used to come regularly. I walked in and it's not a huge restaurant and it's not brightly (personally I think it's too dark) but I saw someone at table with a burger and fries and they looked good. I ordered the 1/4 lb. bacon double cheeseburger. I upgraded it to a platter which was fries and coleslaw. I am not a huge fan of coleslaw but their'e was excellent! I compared it to when Chick-fil-a had coleslaw on their menu but it didn't quite taste like theirs but either way it was great and when I asked the server if they make it she said yes. The burger and fries were delicious as well. My father and I decided we would be back.

The only negative things I have about this place are:

1. too dark
2. the menu says assorted drinks but does not specify Pepsi or Coke products but judging by a sign on the door congratulating them on their 10 year anniversary I correctly assumed it was Pepsi products.
3. unless I overlooked it, I did not see the price for upgrading...

Me and my friends had been looking for somewhere welcoming and friendly and upon doing some research we came across this place. The second we walked in the door we were greeted with absolutely amazing customer service. They welcomed us in like we were part of the family. The food was delicious and fresh. We tried a if you dare burger it was a pound of beef. Nice and juicy full of flavor. We got some apps while waiting on the food, the jalapeno poppers were mouthwatering. I rate this one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in Charlottesville. 10/10 thru and thru. While we were a bit dissappointed with the fries quality, the quantity is actually insane. If you are looking for best bang for your buck, I think this place could honestly rival McDonalds. While the quality obviously takes a hit for the price, it was all still pretty good, but the greasy unhealthy good for sure. Though we ordered out, atmosphere inside seemed friendly and nice, people were happy to talk to ya and amongst themselves, I noticed some v good happy hour deals too.
