I hate to leave negative reviews but this Hotel deserves it. When we checked in & checked out it was very difficult untrained staff they are new to the Hilton group. I don’t know how Hilton approved this Hotel into their group because Hilton has always been fantastic. The room had a really bad smell I had to spray my wife perfume to help cover it up. The area the Hotel is in a terrible area not very nice area. This is a pretty old Hotel just had it remodeled & didn’t help much. But the bad thing I pre paid my room with Hilton and a couple of days later find out they double charged me of $125.05 and has been terrible but Hilton took care of it for me. —————————————————————————- Randy your response is to cover you and you are ( not honest ) on your reply / this Hotel has been a disaster to deal with I hope other travel will not have to go through problems like I had. Hope I don’t have to go to Hamilton County small claims court to get my money that your staff charged my card double but if we do I’m pro paired. If there’s a trophy for the worst experience with a Hotel this Hotel would win 1st. Place that is why this Hotel has a 2.8 out of 5 stars review score. ————————————————————————————— I was able to get Hilton reservation to give me a refund I never did receive a refund as of now from the Hotel / This was my worst experience since I have been staying @ Hotels in my entire life/ I can’t believe this budget hotel is linked to The Hilton Group ….. Next time I will ALWAYS read reviews before making a reservation & beware of Spark Motels & never stay at this Hotel. LOL —————————————————————————————Randy is the G.M. Of this Hotel and he knows all about the Double charge . I had to make a claim with Hilton reservation so I would get a refund of the double charge beside as of now I never did get my refund from the Hotel but Hilton reservation did refund me. This was a nightmare dealing with this Hotel as you can see from the reviews it should not be in the...
Read moreI hate leaving bad reviews on "Hilton" properties, but I had my worst experience in over 10+ years here. It started off with one elevator out of service, and the other one behaving strangely. I thought no biggie, I will just get some exercise on the stairs. ||The next day the power goes out in the entire building. This was a bummer for me since I was trying to work in my room on my laptop. As I went down to the lobby to find out what was going on, I saw several large bugs (over an inch) on the floor. I saw many people decide not to check in while the power was out. ||Finally the straw that broke the camel's back was they decided to do "room service" on my room while the DND sign was on my door. MAYBE I could have let even this invasion of privacy slide, but they threw away some of my belongings. ||It was at this point I decided to cut my stay here short by three days. However more poor customer service to come as I try and get checked out. They make me stay an extra night since this occurred after 3pm. I tried to make my case that I wasn't leaving on a whim and that the service here is unbecoming of a Hilton property, no matter if it is a budget brand or not. He doubled down and said "they have pictures of the room". I guess that means that standard practice for room service is to take pictures of all your belongings (not sure if that's even legal with the DND on the door). Or maybe they knew they f'ed up and were already in CYA mode. Either way he refused to shorten the stay to the two nights I had spent there and told me to call corporate. Calling corporate sort of helped because they did shorten it to two days, but ultimately did not make a difference since I paid with points, which apparently you can't get back anyways. I think I could have done better with the...
Read moreI stupidly booked the hotel without checking the ratings which i wouldn't normally do. And I never will make that mistake again. It's located in a run down part of downtown Chattanooga. When I pulled into the parking lot, I was apprehensive and had considered just going to another hotel and cutting my losses. But there were nice expensive cars in the lot so I thought I was being too hasty and judging a book by its cover. This was my 2nd mistake. I had already checked in on the app and had a digital room key. When I went inside, the elevators were down. Not recently either....there was duct tape running horizontally AND vertically across the doors, holding the elevator doors shut and garbage cans in front of the elevators to block access. It appeared as though the elevators had been down awhile and would be for a long time. If you expected to have the elevators working again in a few hours to days, there would be no need to tape the doors shut. The lobby smelled of Marijuana and stale cigarettes. My room was on the 3rd floor and I would have to carry all my suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. The final straw was some creepy guy wandering around the corridor and lobby in a dirty wife-beater, basketball shorts, and socks (no shoes). I left. Cut my losses and drove 90 minutes into Alabama to book another hotel. I'm out $130 for a room I didn't use but that's a small price to pay for safety and...
