Following a wedding a large group of individuals was allowed entry to this bar at roughly 1230am. The last people in this group was the chef for the wedding and a bridesmaid. They were not allowed entry after the chef was told he could not carry anything into the bar and chugged a red bull energy drink in the entry way. I do repeat this was a non alcoholic beverage drunk in response to being told he could not bring it inside. He was not told nor are there signs to suggest he could not bring it into the first set of doors. This individual was not white while a much drunker White group was allowed into the bar directly before this interaction. The security officer repeatedly made reference to the entire interaction being on body camera which has yet to be addressed. This establishment had managers coming over to try to make it right by the situation but the damage and public humiliation had already been accomplished. While not being the direct decisions of the restaurant they did not immediately correct the actions taken by security which reflected a lack of general awareness and abuse of power given the situation..while I do not have a problem with whiskey cowgirl as a bar I do have a problem with the group they chose to partner with as security. All of this was part of my initial experience into this bar and I hope it does better moving forward with what seems to be a decent bar ruined by...
Read moreFor starters our food was very good, the kitchen knows their stuff & the officer/security team were both kind and professional. However, last night, the bar staff we encountered was atrocious & I say this after trying to find every excuse in the book for the way we were made to feel like a burden. Our “bartender” took our drink order and didn’t come back for 10+ minutes to take our food order but thought it was incredibly important to lean against the bar and dive into her phone or walk past us without checking on us while her colleagues took care of those around her. Ultimately we had to ask to have our order taken and she walked off while we were giving our order, thankfully her coworker stayed to take and put our order in. When we asked for an additional condiment she acted inconvenienced to be taken away from her phone. We’ve honestly never felt so unwelcome at a bar seat, that’s where you find people with welcoming personalities and make you want to “have another round” - this lady either hates her job, the fact she can’t be paid to lean and play on her phone, or just hated our faces. But from what we could tell her demeanor and lack of teamwork spread to her coworkers and everyone looked miserable, sad to see at what should be such a fun place & it wasn’t...
Read moreI’ve always loved this place, but ever since they brought in these new “security” staff, my experience has gone downhill. They seem more interested in flexing authority than creating a safe and welcoming environment. They kicked my friend out immediately after she stumbled from being pushed, with no reasonable grounds to assume she was intoxicated. Another friend left to check on her, and when I tried to make sure they were okay, I was met with unnecessary aggression. Security snatched my drink out of my hand, threw it away, and kicked me out as well. This isn’t how you treat paying customers who are simply looking out for each other. If the staff truly believed someone wasn’t fit to stay, the bare minimum should be ensuring that person gets home safely and that their friends can assist, not punishing everyone involved. I hope management reviews the body cam footage and rethinks how these situations are handled, because this is not the level of professionalism or care that...
