If I could give 0 starts I woud!!!! I have been considering if I should post this or not but if this post keeps just one person from staying at the Quality Inn in Chipley, FL then I’ll be happy! I checked in on Thursday afternoon with my Mom and 5 year old son. Shortly after checking in I noticed the bathroom was dirty, there was hair all over the shower curtain, toilet seat and floor. There was poop smears on the bottom of the toilet. I had to clean the seat with a soapy wash cloth before I would let my son use the bathroom.Later on I started to smell an awful smell. I started looking and sniffing around to find where the smell was coming from. Well, I found it! There was dried vomit in the bottom of the trash can underneath the trash bag. At this point I am totally grossed out, so I started investigating the room a little more. I pulled down the bed sheets to find that there was hair on the sheets. I’m not talking just one little hair either! There where several hairs on the sheets. It was clear that the sheets had not been change and the room had not been cleaned! Then I noticed the BLOOD stains!!! I called the front desk and the owners who live at the hotel came up to our room to see what the problem was. I pointed out all the blood stains. They did not speak English or at least not to me. They spoke to each other and changed the sheets. The next morning I went down to the front desk to speak the the manager who also lives at the hotel. I explained to him what I had found and showed him the pictures I took. I asked for the room to be cleaned while we were out for the day and for the second bed in the room to be changed as well. He was instantly rude and told me if we weren’t satisfied we could leave. I told him all we wanted was the room cleaned and clean sheets! He refused and told us to leave! He was supposed to refund me for the second night that I had paid for which he did not! He also charged my card $156.00 after we left! This place was absolutely disgusting and the owners/manager is a thief!!! I will be contacting the health department in Chipley tomorrow! That is just how disgusting this place...

My recent "stay" at this establishment was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my experience so others don't fall into the same trap. From the moment we stepped into what can only be described as a dilapidated lobby, a sense of dread washed over us. The entire place is utterly run-down, looking like it hasn't seen a renovation since the last century.
Upon entering our first room, we were immediately hit by a pungent smell of stale smoke, attempting to mask something far worse. The carpets were threadbare and stained, begging for an immediate replacement. But the truly horrifying discovery was the mold – not just a little, but significant patches on the walls, poorly painted over in a futile attempt to hide the decay. To top it off, the bed sheets were visibly dirty, wrinkled, and unmistakably unchanged from the previous guest. It was utterly vile.
We immediately went to the front desk, hoping for some resolution. The staff, though present, seemed indifferent as they switched us to the room right next door. Our hopes were quickly dashed. The second room presented the exact same deplorable conditions: the same suffocating smoke smell, the same painted-over mold, the same disgusting carpets, and yes, the same dirty, wrinkly bed sheets. As if that wasn't enough, the air conditioning in this room was completely non-functional, leaving us to stew in the oppressive heat and the stench.
To add insult to injury, as we were checking in, I witnessed what appeared to be the only housekeeper on duty. I watched, horrified, as she entered a room presumably for cleaning, and instead of changing the sheets, she simply smoothed out the old, used ones and remade the bed. This complete disregard for basic hygiene is not only unprofessional but frankly, a health hazard.
The "breakfast" offered was a joke – a sad collection of items clearly sourced from a dollar store, far from anything resembling a proper meal.
This hotel is a health hazard and a rip-off. Do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere else. This place should...
Read moreClearly a motel where the priority is maximizing profit and minimizing cost with bare minimum accommodation standards or less. Most striking, June in Florida, and the AC was off. Conversely, my previous hotel in Texas had my room pre cooled and set at 60 degrees for my arrival. After 12hrs of driving through the hot south, the last thing you’re wanting to be greeted with is a humid hot room. AC barely pushes air out as it is very old and is temperature capped at 66 degrees which it’s not even reaching. The AC also constantly turns itself off. The room itself smells like the hot, humid, patched up room that it is. Deadbolt has been ripped off the wall. Holes are patched, everything is severely outdated.
The second thing I do after 12hrs of driving is heat up a microwave meal for some hot food comfort. Fortunately the “3” button worked on the microwave as all other buttons were broken.
They have signs up at the breakfast bar that say “healthy” and “fresh.” There were no healthy nor fresh options, and no I wasn’t eating just before the end of the breakfast window. All they had was a waffle maker, sugary cereals, and an assortment of bread. Nothing fresh; nothing healthy. Your only options are sugar and carbs. The closest thing you’ll get to any protein is putting cream cheese on a bagel. Even the lobby/ breakfast area is kept overly warm.
Pool area is very run down, and located right in the parking lot next to the busy street.
Ultimately, there are plenty of hotels around, and this one isn’t worth your time at any price. Sorry I chose this one, and continuing my trip unrested and...
