Waffle House — Restaurant in Chipley

I went there at like 9:30 last night, or around that time. My grandfather and I were trying to have a nice meal because we’d had a hard day. We ordered food, and the food was decent, but there was hair in both of our hash browns. Our waitress, Grace or Gracie, was incredibly rude when I asked if we could get a tradeout for the hashbrowns and was sitting there arguing with my 82 year old grandfather about how it’s just a hair. It wasn’t until he threatened to walk out and another waitress saw what happened, that we were able to get another order. Then Grace tried to overcharge us, adding on something that we didn’t even order and the order was $9 over what it should have been. We had another waitress fix this, and the whole time Gracie was rolling her eyes and glaring at me. I’m a really nice person, and I don’t usually post bad reviews, but I will never come back to this Waffle House if this is the way they believe in treating guests. I heard her yelling at an elderly couple before we left, and she just needs to be taught thats not the way you should treat people. If it is freezing outside don't look to this place for a warm meal. It felt colder inside than outside and it was only 57 degrees outside. There is no place in the restaurant you can escape the two large AC vents in the ceiling. My hands were turning blue and I saw other customers go out to their cars to retrieve jackets. I saw 3 couples come in, sit down, complain about the cold & then get up and leave. There were even folks at the counter in front of the grill bundled up in hunting jackets. Our food was as one would expect from Waffle house but it turned cold before we could eat it. My partner finally complained to our waitress who immediately copped an attitude and went to get the manager. When she came over she was very condescending and upset because the complaint was made so other customers could hear. It seems management doesn't actually look at their customers shivering, bundling up, and talking to each other about the cold. Overall, food was ice cold before it could be partially eaten, waitstaff rude and very curt (not just with us) and management condescending and clueless....

If I could give zero stars I would, we walked in and we weren’t even properly greeted until some time. The entire floor was filthy, every table was filthy, the waitress proceeded to sweep all of the food from the table on the floor and left the bread, bacon and eggs on the floor. We asked her if she could clean the food on the floor that was by and under our table, she got upset and said that they had been busy for four hours but surprisingly there were only two customers. She looked like we inconvenienced her by asking her to clean the floor. The manger stood there and acted like she didn’t care. The waitress then ASKED, if she should come and sweep up while looking like she didn’t know why she had to clean it. They lost 7 customers in a matter of minutes!!!! What’s concerning is that when she wiped down our table, she used a dirty cloth and no cleaning agent. This place is disgraceful and so are...
