I stayed here 3 days and was quoted a rate of $62 a night as I am a Redi Rewards member . When I went to check out they charged me $62 for the first night and $83 for the next 2 nights. I asked about this and the owner was sitting there and told me they raised it for the weekend and I asked well shouldn't u have told me how much it was going to be for the last 2 nights instead of surprising me at.the end? and he said I should have asked when I did at check in. Then he continued to want to argue about it saying he sells out on weekends and should have charged me more. This place was only half full! When I told the owner I would state this in a review he said "F" me. This owner definately doesnt care about the customers is rude and vulgar. First night I stayed in a room with 2 beds and fridge was didnt have shelves and wasn't cold, no chair and no hairdryer so I changed to a king for the next 2 nights. That room also didnt have a hair dryer even though on room description it says it does, no stand for my suitcase, there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, The microwave was very old and loud and the tv is only in analog so picture not very clear, no tv guide or list of channels at the office so hard to find what u want to watch. TV was only 32", bed mattress had a dip in it should be replaced. No chair for the small table and was told no rooms have one. The maids were.very nice and cleaned the room well each day. I have stayed at much better red roof inns as I travel alot in the winter with my little 15 lb fur baby but I will never stay at this red roof in again because the owner is a liar and a vulgar rude man and the rooms are old and out dated not as described, there is also not much to do in this town. No sports bars to watch games and socialize. Nearest one was about 15miles away in Cottondale. One of the nights there was a shooting at the walmart next door. Should have taken my friends advice and stayed in Dolthan 35 miles up the road. Travelers beware of...
Read moreNo table in room . Fridge broken, cleaning lady said manager was asleep and she could not allow us to talk to him and that she is not allowed to give his name. We had a 4 day reservation. Cleaning lady only on my insistence got us receipt for room after I called discover . After calling the corporate office Miss Katy which customer service acted as are intermediate to get things resolved and understand the situation. Mr. Patel who he found out is the owner / manager good print out a receipt and gave it to the housekeeper who gave it to us.we are several times to speak to the manager and I was more than willing to pay for that night on my discover card. But she kept telling us he was asleep.I think it's on Fair to put a cleaning lady in an awkward position like this. I understand that this motel is used for truckers and that they'd had a lightning strike that's why the ice machine didn't work. I don't understand why the threfrigerator was broken and they were unaware of it yet. it was unplugged. I feel if we had not been insistent and contacted discover card and corporate we would have been charged for the four days we had reserved as they were reluctant to give us anything in writing or a receipt. The lock is broken on the door in room 103 and communication is unacceptable as you cannot speak to the manager and have to go through the cleaning lady Annie. I would only recommend you pay cash if you want to stay here and just need a place to sleep . My bed was comfortable. I would definitely check the health department records on this motel as and they appear to be very understaffed and simply trying to get through the day as quickly as possible and are on able to accommodate real needs including missing furniture in the room and broken furniture in the room and broken locks this is more than an awful stay. They have serious communication and logistical needs and safety needs which needs to be met . not a place to take...
Read moreOn or around March 16, 2023, we stayed in the circled room. We arrived late in the night. Really late, but before midnight of the next day. Upon entering the room, the renovations could instantly be seen, which was nice because we were tired. After settling our dog and bringing up our luggage, as we went through the room we found that old materials were being used.
Our dog acted funny and would not relax. As the room A/C unit worked it seemed to make the room humid. That is when the bed sheets begin showing black dots/stains. I eliminated all but one towel and face towel that did not have either stains or hairs on them. At this point I had resigned myself to sleeping in my clothes on areas that appreared clean. It was late and we knew the most that would happen would be that we would get a put into another room. We needed to leave in under 5 hours so we dealt with our environment.
As the shower worked, the number of stains on the unused towels grew and some stains turned black. The shower curtain, that initially look cleaned, begain turning colors along with certain areas on the shower wall and in the bathroom. The attached images will show other issues with the room. We contacted Red Roof Inn about how the renovations looked great, the location was using old materials of sheets, towels, and pillows. At least in the room we were in. We received a canned response that it would be looked into, but so that no one has to experience what we had, at the very least, do not stay in the circled room.
The night person who gave us the room was prompt when we arrived, they simply should have verified that, that particular room should have been rented out. There were definitely other...
