I should have known when I walked in and the temperature was about 85 degrees inside since the air conditioning was not working properly. It was close to I10 and nearby was all fast food. How bad can a new Italian restaurant be? My server Aaliyah could not have been nicer and the service was excellent! I ordered the chicken parmigiana which came with garlic knots, a salad and spaghetti with marinara sauce. The garlic knots were first problem, undercooked, doughy and gooey. The salad consisted of romaine lettuce and tomatoes, drowned in italian dressing! The meal took longer than expected so I thought it would be cooked to perfection! The meal was served piping hot! My first fork full was of the spaghetti in marinara sauce was awful. Have you ever tried canned spaghetti, way overcooked, mushy, sweet and disgusting. Now to the "chicken parm" Served was to UNBREADED chicken cutlets with red sauce and lots of parmesan cheese. I struggled cutting through the cutlet and chewing was difficult enough to cause me to spit some food out. I was starving and ate have the food then gave up. The server Aaliyah was very gracious and apologized. I asked her what part of italy are the owners from? THEY ARE NOT ITALIAN. If not the worst Italian food ever it ranks in the top 3. The Food was either under cooked or way overcooked and to serve chicken parm with not breaded chicken cutlets is horrible! Now the compensation, an offer of a free dessert and free meal if I return. I declined both and paid full price,...
Read moreI can understand wanting to own your own business, but when serving food there are a lot of important qualities that should be met. Ive wanted to try this place so me and the hubby decided to drive over 30 minutes to give it a try. Upon entering, our first impression was ok this is kinda cute.. then it set in that it was hot as blazes, the air was broken. They had 1 fan on blowing over the tables where your plate is sitting on the tables, that is a health code violation. 2nd, when we were finally noticed, we were told ok table 3 is open. Okay?! Where is table 3, we were expected to seat ourselves in a place we have never been so which one is table 3? The description states very friendly but they hardly said anything to us other than taking our order. It states on the menu that a salad and garlic knots are all you can eat. We never got any garlic knots and the salad was a knock off imitation of Olive Garden on a very small scale for us to "share" and had the butt of the lettuce cut up in it with 4 tiny pieces of tomato with ehat we thought was ranch dressing but there was not enough in the bowl to give a taste all we tasted was the dirt that once was on the lettuce. The egg plant parmesan was decent but the egg plant was chewy. I hate we had a bad experience and others may like that.. it literally only had like 6 tables so its definitely small, but the customer service could be WAY better! We were NOT impressed one bit and hate to say but we will...
Read moreA truely terrible place. When it comes bad reviews I tend to wait a week in order to process my opinions and to avoid bias. There is simply no redemption for this place.
The service was incredibly slow, The food was cold, the portions were small, tasted like it was microwaved... poorly. The appetizer I ordered took over 20 minutes to show up and when it did, it was just four Great Value brand meatballs with a bit of Prego sauce poured over the top. For like $10 mind you!
It's one of the few times in my life that I actually got up and walked out of the building (after begrudgingly paying for my "appetizer") I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but, after another 30 minutes of waiting, the quality of my appetizer, and the food still not arriving, I was done. Even through all that, I'd forgive them somewhat if they were first time restaurant/business owners but, they aren't even new at this. They have at least one other place that I personally know of. There is no excuses!
I try to leave at least one positive note on even my bad reviews. The building is nice, although the floors and windows were in need of cleaning. It's a real shame. The space is wasted...
