Santos is great. Staff is friendly & food is good. It is a very small establishment located behind El Burrito in Cleveland. They even sell raw fish that looks nice & fresh. Their raw fresh seafood. Even octopus, alligator,, crawfish,, etc. It is cheaper than buying it at krogers & it looks better too. They cook it up really well. I will use them whenever I want to stick up on fresh fish for my next fish fry. They do eat in & take out. Great little hidden restaurant. I wish they were located on one of the main roads in Cleveland & that they had a much bigger seating area for dining in.
My kids loved it. Plenty of choices for the kids even if they don't like seafood. Great prices. Great service. Really good tea. When I want seafood, this is where me & my family go. It is local to Cleveland so I don't have to drive all the way to New Caney or Humble for a good seafood restaurant.
Check it out folks if you happen to be in Cleveland, Texas. Just take the Cleveland exit where you see the Popeye's chicken & go down where the Walmart is & take a left just pass El Burrito & it is located right behind the Mexican restaurant. For the longest I thought it was just a fish market but, it is actually a nice restaurant & it does NOT smell fishy like most fish markets do. These are just a few pictures but, they have a lot more fresh seafood they sell They will sell it raw & packaged for you to prepare at home or they will cook it up & you...
Read moreWe've been to Cleveland twice for a total of 4 evenings. Three of those four evenings we ate dinner at Santos. After the first dinner we were hooked...lol. We LOVE the shrimp, potato salad and Cole slaw. We are originally from Florida. We have had a lot of shrimp and have never had them as well prepared as they were at Santos. The Red potatoes are always cooked to perfection. The corn on the cob is good, but that's not what we go for. The first dinner we got 1lb of med shrimp with mild seasoning for two of us. We also got 3 potatoes, 2 corn, and 1 sausage. We asked for all the sauces: Cajun mayo, drawn butter, and cocktail sauce. The portion was fantastic. We both ate until we were full. The mild seasoning was a bit hotter than we expected. We have only gotten 'unseasoned' since then. Since that first trip we have also tried the snow crab legs and the fried gator. The crab legs were a bit soft. The The food was always delivered very fast! We got appetizers 5 mins after we ordered and our full meal within 10 mins after that. We will keep Santos at the top of our preferences when we go...
Read moreI used to like this restaurant. For some reason service was poor. The food was getting cold while waiting on a manager. I asked for a hot plate and they reheated it. I took a bite of the fish before they took the plate to the back. I asked did they reheat the food and they said yes that that is what they are supposed to do. I said you’re not supposed to do that after I took a bite of the fish and it has germs.Of course the waitress didn’t say anything. And we told them we’re not paying for the plate. So they let me have the plate free of charge. There is a lady that hangs around outside. May be homeless not sure. But she says hello and opens the door for you. But my friend who had a walker was not able to get in because she was in the way. Then we didn’t like that the lady was close to us and staring at us. This is why I asked for a manager . I wanted to make a complaint on the lady just hanging around there. And they don’t tell her anything. But the manager never came. This is the last time that I go over to...
