China One Buffet — Restaurant in Cleveland

China One Buffet offers a decent dining experience, but it leans toward the expensive side for what you get. At $16 per person plus an additional $2+ for a drink, the price feels a bit steep, especially considering the food selection. While the buffet does offer a fair variety, I was disappointed to find that there was no sushi and very little seafood, such as clams or mussels—something that many other buffets tend to include at a similar price point.

That being said, the food that was available was generally good. The flavors were enjoyable, and everything seemed fresh and well-prepared. There were several classic Chinese-American dishes to choose from, as well as some appetizers and desserts. However, if you’re someone who looks forward to sushi or a wider seafood selection, you might find this buffet lacking in that area.

The service was a strong point. Our server was attentive, clearing our plates regularly and checking in to see if we needed anything else. It’s always nice to have friendly and efficient service, especially at a buffet where staff interactions can sometimes be minimal.

The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained. There was plenty of parking available, making it a convenient choice if you’re coming with family or a larger group. The restrooms were in an ok condition.

Overall, China One Buffet provides a decent meal with good service, but the price might not feel entirely justified given the limited seafood options. If you’re looking for a standard buffet experience with solid food, it’s worth a visit, but if variety and seafood are important to you, you might want to explore other options...

I have lived here over 11 years & have been coming here a lot during those 11 plus years. I have yet to find fault with them. The food is great, the servers are awesome. Some complain about prices being too high but, if you compare them to other chinese buffets you will find them competitive. It is a small restaurant & they work very hard to accommodate their guest. Ming Lee & her daughter Nana (I hope I spelled it right) are very sweet & great at their job so, if you happen to go their, request their section & tip very well. Most chinese buffet restaurants only pay their servers $1 an hour & they work every job from food prep, serving, sometimes cooking & always clean up. And they work from the time they get there in the morning before they open until well after 10 pm every day with only one day off usually. No overtime, no vacation pay, so please if you visit there, support the servers by tipping more than $5 ok. They all work very hard there. If you have not tried them, don't be turned off by anyone's bad comments without first trying them for yourself. My husband and I eat here regularly. I have him pick up several containers of the Hot & Sour Soup EVERY few days or when we are in town. It is the VERY BEST food! ALWAYS HOT and FRESH! You can't go wrong by eating here. They are not BIG CITY variety, but for Cleveland, TX, They are AWESOME! They serve the BEST HOT FOOD! The cleanest restaurant in town or Houston for that matter that I have seen. Not the newest in decor but it is always, ALWAYS CLEAN! During Quarantine, I craved the Hot & Sour soup to the point I tried to make it myself! I didn't get it right but it was close.I waited and waited for the restaurant to reopen because I HAD TO HAVE THE BEST! It is best to let the pro's cook it for you if you want it right! I can not stress to you enough about how GREAT ALL of the food is here. And the service? It is off the charts!
