Awful awful worker at the fuel station MARIA or MARY. My dad was pumping gas on Sunday Father’s Day to enjoy a nice day out and while pumping gas my dad threw out some car trash MARY comes STORMING out yelling at the top of her lugs to tell my dad he cannot throw away any trash in the bins, if he wants to throw away trash she said he’d have to walk over to the big dumpster and throw it away himself there. She then proceeded to open the lid to the trash bin and TAKE OUT the trash and throw it on the floor for my dad to pick up my dad was baffled to hear that you can’t throw away car trash in a bin what is it there for then? She kept yelling saying it was illegal to throw any trash and kept speaking over my dad. She had a nasty attitude and kept throwing the trash at my dad. We asked for a manager and she laughed and said she will gladly call her manager, she went back to her office and waved the phone outside and smiled at us, once she called the manager she came back outside and started saying it was okay to throw trash and didn’t mean to say whatever she said. We talked to the manager and she said she would still work there despite the horrible attitude MARY had. Beware of MARY she has an awful attitude and will storm out if she sees you even thinking about throwing trash I can’t believe someone with such horrible attitude will continue to work here. I am so pleased that HEB in Cleveland Tx, has changed the present store manager. I worked 20 years for HEB and retired to Cleveland Tx. We are a semi-small city and even tho I am a retired partner, I had refused too shop in this store. The past Store Leaders,didn't take his coustmers complaints,seriously.I was helping a neighbor with his errands ,about 2weeks ago, and spoke to Mike,the new store lead,we discussed how our Police Department would benefit from some help with water,in this weather. He immediately addressed my concern and took charge.I am grateful for his help,however I wanted too walk thru the store to give a honest review, and was pleased. I get it; “it’s Cleveland”… everyone’s excuse for the substandard accommodations. What is it? A cultural thing? FIVE HEB employees, including 2 managers/supervisors standing at the end of the checkout, WATCHING ME BAG MY GROCERIES. Didn’t budge. Didn’t offer. Not a thank you for coming. NOTHING.

I would like to say this is a one off thing, but it’s not. I can’t tell you how many times my wife or I have bagged our own groceries, WHILE HEB EMPLOYEES ARE WATCHING US DO IT.

Some people at the upper level need a new job, and not within HEB. I have friends and family that work for HEB on many different levels and speak highly of the company. I’m tired of Cleveland getting the bottom of the barrel when it comes to store managers who clearly can’t run...
