This Motel cause and calling it that because its the farthest thing from a hotel ever was the absolute worst stay I have had any any Hotel/Motel establishment. The establishment is falling apart and there is wood root everywhere. The room I was in had wood rot next to the bathroom and the showerhead was basically the same as showering under a water hose. The bathroom door would not actually close so due to this I had to put something on the inside of the door to make sure it would not swing open while I was showering or using the restroom. When we pulled the cover back on the bed there was what looked like uncooked rice in the sheets. The front door had a gap that if someone really wanted to they could have easily gotten into the room leading me to not wanting to leave anything inside the room while I was gone. When I was in the room if socks were not worn even after the single time room service actually tended to the room out feet looked dirtier then if we had been outside barefoot. There was also an extreme issue to where getting towels was harder then trying to find a needle in a haystack the only way I got clean towels from the establishment was by walking with an employee to the laundry room they have to sheets and that stuff. There was a lady employee that at night when we tried for the 5th time that day to get towels had the door to the lobby locked and looked asleep at the desk. Eventually it ended up with us going to Walmart to buy our own towels due to the difficulty it took getting them and getting tired of hearing employees saying he would bring some we heard this about 12 times and in all they they provided a single towel. Some of the outlets in the room worked some did not which was another issue that led to us playing musical outlets till we found one. Bugs were another issue in the room to the point in 5 mins I found 5 got them in a bag took it to the front lobby and was told oh they are just in season there is nothing we can do which I didn't even know how to respond to it.
This place has so many issues I could write a book about them and probably a sequel. If you are looking for a place to stay you would be better off in a tent in a parking lot then here. For the amount of money they charged this place should have been better and I was wondering the whole stay if this place was going to crumble or something along those lines. Then if you call with any complaints and try to talk to a manager they will give you the run around for days.
Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from here if you ever stay in this area. This place will be more of a headache then its worth and you will defiantly regret staying here. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE FOR YOUR OWN...
Read moreThis hotel room is better than both of the last Red Roof Pluses I stayed at recently. The room is newly renovated and spacious.
I was given a room in the area and on the floor I requested. Check-in was painless, and my dog was allowed to stay even though she was a bit over the 40-pound weight limit. My questions and concerns were answered.
THINGS THAT ARE NICER/NEWER/CLEANER HERE:
Most furnishings and some fixtures are new. New room key fob system that you simply tap New beds/mattresses/bedding. Mattress is double-wrapped. New a/c and heating unit. None of those ancient mounted wall space heaters. The heat worked. The bathroom is clean with a new tub and toilet! Huge TV (but mine didn't work/wasn't set up. One-night stay.) Nice new fridge. Nice-sized desk and comfy desk chair, although the chair gets stuck under the desk. Very well-lit parking lot, and they have tons of security cameras the front desk monitors. THEY HAVE ROOMSERVICE! No bugs on my one-night December stay!
ISSUES THAT STOPPED ME FROM LEAVING A 5-STAR REVIEW:
The large new TV DIDN'T WORK, and there were no instructions/guide. It was stuck on one channel, and the remote was not paired. I tried to troubleshoot for 45 minutes. NO COFFEE MAKER. -A lot of hairs on the bedding (probably from the dryer. Seemed clean otherwise. They need to use dryer sheets and clean the lint traps). Dust caked on the bathroom vent. An extremely outdated hairdryer. Floors needed a more through cleaning. $100 deposit. The location is not great, and the outside are is not well-kept. It's right off the...
Read moreFirst off, I would give zero stars if it was an option. I don't know why Red Roof Inn is still attached to this property, it should be an independent motel. There are no inside corridors so it really should be called a motel. The ONLY positive thing I can say is the front desk staff was friendly. We arrived at 10am & they were very accommodating with getting us our room early. Only waited about 30 minutes. We were given a key card to room 242 & were told its in the back building, upper floor, center. As we were driving back there, noticed a man (appeared to be homeless) laying on the floor against the building. Questioned it but continued to our room. Next we noticed someone "moving out" of their room, like they used this place as an apartment. Still proceeded. As soon as we walked in, I quickly locked the door, as I didn't even feel safe walking up 1 flight of stairs at 10:30 in the morning! There were several stains on both bedspreads. Looked in the bathroom & stains on shower wall. Tried to call the front desk & the phone didn't even work. I looked at my husband & said "we are NOT staying here". It took us less than 30 seconds to realize this place was not for us. Don't get me wrong, we do not need a 5 star hotel, but I refuse to stay in a less than 1 star motel. Thankfully they refunded our card without hassle. I was willing to sleep in my car instead of staying here. Again, RRI needs to remove their name from this property so when people book they know what to expect, or what not to expect in this case. For travels in the near future, its gonna be hard to give RRI...
