As an employee of a Waffle House in Ohio, i know how some things should go and I do want to address many wrong things that have happened on October 6th, 2023.
I must say, I had not attended this Waffle House since it was rebuilt. Before the accident that shut it down I went in and just the environment was not welcoming. The food was okay and the customer service lact service in many ways. Fast forward to 3 days ago I wanted Waffle House and the closest one to me was this location. I told myself just order takeout and go get it. As I placed my order Terry, was very welcoming, very funny and he knew exactly what I wanted. Because, I informed him that I was allergic to eggs and could he make sure that the hash browns would not be cross-contaminated. Terry went a step further, and said well there's eggs in our waffle batter, and I informed him that I can eat the eggs in that, I just can't eat them in their raw form. That is above and beyond what Terry did and that's the first five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 When I got to the Waffle House, my food was ready. I greeted Terry and thanked him for his services and Hunter had to check me out because Terry was waiting wonderfully on other customers. Now, the atmosphere in the Waffle House was wonderfully warming. You walk into an environment of jolliness where the environment is greeting you with a hello. The food smells absolutely great, and you get the aroma of well brewed coffee, sweetness of the waffles and syrup, in the lovely lingering smell of salty nuts from the bacon and ham! And your gifted with the welcoming of the server's genuinely and compassionately tending to their customers and this is another🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Last but not least, I was on crutches and in a walking boot I couldn't carry the bag, hit coffee and walk on my crutch so Hunter offered to walk my order out to the car and assist me drop the mic 🎤another five stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. 🙋♀️The food was sensational the customer service was outstanding and the environment was welcoming in thus Waffle House and its staff is the bomb💣, and I will be back. Kudos to Terry and Hunter 💫for displaying excellent customer service and representing what it means to "serve a customer as if I was family."...
Read moreTHEY WILL BE GETTING A CALL TO CORPORATE. Walked in one late afternoon to a restaurant with 2 patrons, but all the tables were filled with dirty dishes and cups. After thinking they may be short staffed and couldnt get to everything right away, I decided to sit down at a table full of dirty dishes. I politley moved the dishes to the side and waited for the waited. The waited showed up 10-15mins later, took my order and DID not clear the dishes. Still, I sat there waiting for her to come clear them...never happened. By this time the cook had prepared several to go orders and the orders of the 2 patrons who were there before me. After finishing he walks to the back and outside the kitchen to take a smoke. At this point I have been here for 40mins. I stepped up to the counter and asked the waiter if he has started to prepare my food, she said no. I told her she can keep the order in the fridge and I'm leaving. As I start walking to my car the cook saw me and said "I hope you enjoyed your stay and have good day" in the most sarcastic tone ever. It's obvious why this part of town is in the shape it is. You have ignorant, poor, low class trashy people in the business. I will never step foot in a Waffle House or this side...
