I hate writing bad reviews but sometimes they help train or change things, here goes. The staff will rush the hell out of you to order even when there is no one in line or when it’s your first time there and you have no idea what they sell. Even after informing them of this they don’t really care, they rush you with a smile and they will speak to you like you’re a child and even though the chicken was, well, fine. No idea what I ordered I just ordered the first thing I saw that was “spicy” cuz I’m really not that picky and was apparently in a rush? The fried rice was awful, I never write reviews and this was that bad. The flavor was bland and the only flavor that was there was bell pepper and sugar, the texture was wet and soupy. If the staff wasn’t in such a rush to push me through the empty assembly line I prob wouldn’t have even written this and I would have known what I ordered but it was all around bad. Won’t recommend, won’t be back, and will make it myself next time I’m craving bell pepper flavored rice and sweet chicken bits cuz it wasn’t spicy at all, just sugary. Btw I came in to order for 5 people, thank goodness I only ordered for myself! After I ordered the chicken thing she asked for a reward card, as if I had been there before lol and said swipe your card so I guess she knew I’d be disappointed if I ordered for the fam. I could have spoken up but It all happened so fast and I still don’t know what they sell except rice...
Read moreHey, so we were in Coral Springs, right? Needed a fast but good meal, not just your average fast food. Pei Wei was perfect! It's in Coral Springs, super convenient. The food was fresh and tasty, really fueled our sightseeing.
Ordering was easy, counter service then they bring it to your table – efficient but comfy. Lots of wok-fired dishes, something for everyone.
I got the Orange Chicken – classic, and it was amazing! Crispy, hot, that sweet and tangy sauce was great, and the orange slices were a nice touch. Huge portion, chicken cooked just right.
My friend had the Mongolian Steak, equally awesome. Tender steak, yummy sauce. They clearly use good ingredients, you could tell.
You can totally customize your order too – rice, noodles, spice level – whatever you want. Perfect for a group with different tastes.
Some online reviews say it's gone downhill, but our Coral Springs visit was great. Fresh, tasty, fast service. It's not fancy, but for a casual Asian-inspired meal, it's a winner.
If you're in Coral Springs, maybe after the art museum or mini golf, and want some awesome wok food, check out Pei Wei.
It's cheap, quick, fresh, and you can change things up. We were stuffed and ready to...
Read moreThis specific location is definitely one of the better Pei Wei's I've been to in South FL. Staff is friendly, store is clean, I never have to wait when I order ahead... But as a long time pei wei customer, with a few favorite "go-to" dishes I repeatly order, I've noticed there's no consistency what so ever when it comes to the dishes at this location.
The firecracker chicken I had from here last week, was so incredibly good, I just had to get it again this week, especially with the great promotion they had going on.
However today it barely looks like the same dish.. from the way the chicken and veggies were cut, to the spiciness of the sauce, and the amount given, it was edible but definitely not as great as it was last week...
This isn't the 1st time it's pretty much been hit or miss here... a slight variation in the way a dish is prepared is understandable, as I realize theres multiple cooks, who may do some things slightly differently then others, however there still needs to be some sort of standards upheld. Needless to say this some what disappointing experience will definitely make me think twice before returning, to order from here, any...
