DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! This is the most filthy, dirty, nasty hotel I have ever stayed at carrying the Marriott name. People loitering in the parking lot and digging in the dumpster. People loitering throughout the hotel. My room had a flooded bathroom because the toilet in the room above was leaking through the ceiling. The door in the front lobby is supposed to be an automatic door but it does not work so you have to manually open and close it but it falls off the hinges. There is a note posted on the door to keep it closed for your safety but even when you close it there is no locking device for it to lock. The front desk clerk, who is very nice and apologetic, is not always at the front desk so whomever can come in whenever. As I walked through the hotel to my room the entire hotel is in complete decline and just dirty with chipping paint and dirty carpet throughout. It appears that people are living here long term. There is trash everywhere. As I walked through the hotel the hallways are lined with trash, it appears that the people in the rooms just throw their trash into the hallways. The front desk clerk actually walked me to my room. This is not a safe place to stay. When I got to my room, before noticing the bathroom, I saw that there was no safety-security lock on the door, just the lock on the doorknob. I called the front desk when I discovered the flooded bathroom and she said she would move me to a different room. No refunds because I had already paid and it was a non refundable room. I called Marriott directly told them what was going on, they issued me a refund and booked me at a different Marriott hotel. I can't repeat enough ... DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I have pictures of everything. I forgot to mention that the exits are not marked. There are printed paper exits signs that I assume are supposed to be on the walls but they are lying on the floor. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in April as I was there for a conference and this place was at about the halfway point between the airport and where I was working at the conference. Location wise it was good, although a bit hard to find as it is behind a shopping center and off a service road/alley. It is in the process of being renovated, and it sure needs it. The neighborhood is not the best; I was approached by a panhandler as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. The room itself was okay, typical standard Residence Inn, except when I went to take a shower and discovered the body soap dispenser was empty. When I reported this I was told by the front desk they couldn't refill my dispenser and gave me several wafer thin facial bars instead. I have attached a photo of the smoke detector in my bedroom to show its condition, and there was a light switch in the bedroom that didn't appear to do anything when I switched it on and off. The kicker though, and the main reason I'm giving this hotel barely two stars, is that I wanted to spend the last night there relaxing with a take out dinner and some TV and found a cockroach in the living room. I do not recommend this hotel at all. I believe there is another Residence Inn in Corpus Christi and suggest you read their reviews before even thinking of making reservations here.

I brought my mom down to Corpus Christi for Mother's Day. We arrived at the hotel to check-in at 3:37 PM. The lobby of the hotel was hot and humid, there were fans blowing but employees and guest alike were glistening from sweat. We didn't receive our room until about 20 min. later despite check-in time being 3PM. By 4PM, we were in our room. It wasn't as maintained as most Marriott hotels we have stayed in but it was ok. We dropped off our luggage and went about our day. When we arrived back to the hotel around 9PM, we wanted to shower up. There was a assistance seat in the room. It was wooden and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, years, who knows. It was gross. Fortunately, neither my mother or myself had to utilize this assistance seat but what if either of us was differently abled? There was also a blooming leak spot above the shower. I was very disappointed by the quality of this Marriot location. Besides the room, the staff was very friendly. They kept a tidy lobby. They were on top of mopping up water tracks from the swimming area which is located beside the main lobby. We just had a dirty room.

Do not stay here because you will be exposed to mold and unhealthy air quality. Please do not stay at this hotel. Our experience was a nightmare. First of all, our room 117 had leaks from the ceiling because of something that happened upstairs. This is understandable because things happen. However, the staff was not considerate at all for this incident. Front desk employee Andrew De La Rosa provided my husband with keys to a new room. Room 302. This is all that was done. I am pregnant and I was slipping on all the water spills on the floor. No one brought a do not slip sign for safety of others, no one brought a mop. NOTHING. Assistant Manager Kayla Hernandez was on shift and she did NOTHING. My husband asked for a trash can to help with the leaks and a large trash can was brought with a floating CONDOM! I had a 2 year old son in the room just staring at it float. The next day my son woke up sick, I took him to the doctor and turns out it was mold exposure. My husband was on his knees with towels trying to dry the floors. Then when we went to the new room "302" it was filthy with mold everywhere. AC VENTS, Above the cabinets and on the wallpaper. The electrical wall panel was full of condensation water and mold as well. There were roaches in the cabinets. VERY unhealthy for anyone to breathe in these rooms. Nonetheless, I was the one who requested for something to be done about my belongings that got damaged. I had to be the one to bring it to Kayla's attention. Very inconsiderate hotel staff and lazy. This place is filthy with mold. Something has happened on the 3rd floor regarding water damage and they have just been patching up the repairs with paint and cover ups. NOT treating the root cause of the mold issue! Do not stay here because you will be exposed to mold and unhealthy air quality. Vice President of the hotel Wilfredo Barrera has emailed me back and has stated he would call me but I have NOT received any...
