Upon entering the hotel, I saw a somewhat long line at the check-in desk. One person was at the desk and I assumed people were checking in, but they were buying snacks.  I had to wait for quite awhile before I could get helped. I truly feel like there should be a separate person handling the snacks. When we got to the front of the line, the man at the desk was very friendly and was able to get us into our rooms pretty quickly. When entering the room, I was pleased that it was cold because it was a hot day. I tried locking the room and honestly couldn't ever tell if the lock latched, so I put the little flap up to prevent anyone from opening the door completely. When looking at the room, it looked pretty modern and new until I decided to use the bathroom. The door would not close.  It seemed like the door was too large for the opening.  The toilet paper roll holder was installed crooked and the roll was too big so it fell off.  The paint was chipping off. One wall looked like part of the drywall was ripped. The tiles on the wall by the floor were cracked and the caulking along the wall looked grayish black like mold.  The sprinkler head on the ceiling was rusty.  The counter had some stains and streaks like it was cleaned quickly.  The shower head had a film on it and the bathtub had more than one ball of hair in it.  The overflow cap on the tub was rusted. The shower did have a shampoo and bodywash pump, but no conditioner.  I took a bath first and you need to be careful because the hot water is scalding.  I took a shower and couldn't get the tub faucet to stop flowing completely while using the shower head.  There were plenty of towels to dry off, but I was definitely paranoid at this point about whether or not they were clean or just folded back up.  There was a hair dryer under the sink which is convenient, but I didn't test it out. After my discoveries in the restroom, I decided to have a second look at the room.  The paint throughout the room needed to be touched up.  One wall had black moldy looking stuff along the corner towards the top.  The sprinkler head near next to that was somewhat rusty too. The coat/bag hooks were all in good shape except one.  The tv was good quality.  Under the tv in the stand was a flimsy plastic ice tray and cups that were wrapped in protective, but someone had poked holes in them.  When opening the mini fridge, it had water dripping in it, so I did not use it. The desk area was nice and folds out to make it larger.  The ac unit was next to the window and looked a little gross towards the back top.  The fan was pretty loud.  The curtains also had black moldy looking stuff on them.  The blackout curtains kept the light out.  The windows were very dirty. The lamp shade in the corner had black spots on it and was dusty on the top.  The padded chair next to it had a few snags and loose threads.  Under the bed was a plastic spoon and candy wrappers.  The top sheet on the bed had what looked like a few brown crumbs on it.  The bed did include two thin sheets and a somewhat thick comforter.  Both nighstands had working muliplug stations on them and working mini lamps on the wall frame. After walking around checking things out, I was getting into bed and noticed the bottom of my feet were black.  I was grossed out so washed them thoroughly in the tub. I dried them and quickly got back into bed.  My feet looked only a little dirty after the short walk.  The carpet obviously had not been shampooed in a long time. When going to bed, I noticed that doors were slamming quite a bit.  They need to install slow closing mechanism to prevent this.  I could hear people talking so obviously the walls are thin. Outside of the hotels control was the sound of people with loud car mufflers continuously and something that sounded like large metal scraping/thumping abruptly on the ground on and off every few minutes throughout the night. Breakfast was really limited compared to what I am used to. Check out was quick and easy.

We stayed here Sept 9-11, 2022 with kids. We were planning to stay at Embassy, but they were booked, so we made the last minute call to stay here. It turned out to be a phenomenal choice! I hadn’t looked too much into the features of this specific chain, so we were thrilled to discover our room came with a super stocked kitchenette; an apartment sized fridge/freezer, dishwasher, plates/bowls/cutlery, and tons of the other kitchen items (colander, knives/cutting boards, paper towels) that are amazing to have when traveling with kids. The double queen room we got was clean and so spacious. There was a curtain divider to separate a tv/couch area from the beds, which, again, we were not expecting since we couldn’t find a true suite hotel that had available rooms, so this was a great feature to still get. The bathroom was a standing shower only, which may not be ideal if it was a longer stay with kids. There was SO MUCH storage in the room - honestly more than I have in my room at home 😂 dressers and cubbies and closet space…if you’re looking to unpack and settle in, there was *plenty* of room. The pool area was so nice! There are two propane grills available complimentary - a couple was grilling out the night we got in - an outdoor eating/seating area, and the pool deck with a bathroom available. The pool is not heated, but it was still warm when we visited. The huge bummer is not having a hot tub. The day we checked out (Sunday), there was a pressure washing company cleaning the pool patio; they were kind and management assured us we were still welcome to swim, but it was still an odd choice IMO to have that service done at 10am on a Sunday while weekend guests were still there 🙃 The breakfast wasn’t Embassy Suites level of fresh options, but for a family centered hotel breakfast, it was superb. Especially since so many hotels have dialed services back after COVID, it was incredibly refreshing to have such an awesome breakfast spread. Waffles (with a whole wheat/buckwheat option! I have *never* seen this option at a hotel and was thrilled), bagels/toast/muffins, pancakes, fresh fruit, 4 trays of hot breakfast options (some of the things offered during our stay were: bacon, sausage, omelettes, eggs, breakfast sandwiches, scrambled egg bowls), a parfait/oatmeal toppings bar (with dried fruit, nuts, granola, etc), Yoplait yogurt cups, hard boiled eggs (again - so nice to see whole food options instead of only prepackaged, processed choices), and juice. Breakfast ends at 9:30am on weekends, which is lame considering 10am is the standard (and what their signs read…but they’re crossed out and edited with Sharpie 🫠) and you should get there early - by 9:20am the hot food options were getting slim and they were not restocking them anymore, though up until that point, they seemed to be well prepared and kept the trays full. The seating for breakfast was great - indoor and outdoor space, lots of options. The one downfall was they did not have any high chairs available, which is too bad since this hotel chain seems aimed at families. TLDR; it’s in a safe, convenient area. We loved the huge, clean rooms with curtain partitions, space to unpack, and full kitchenettes. Breakfast was well stocked with options, including healthy ones, the pool area is excellent, though disappointingly lacking a hot tub. Overall, we were thrilled with our stay and this is first on our list to stay at when we come to Corpus in the summer. Since there is no hot tub and the pool isn’t heated, we will still look elsewhere for a winter trip to Corpus with the kids.

Home2 Suites lived up to its name, making us feel at home for our vacation. We received a very clean, modern, organized room for our stay. We were also allowed an early check-in as we were extremely tired from our beach trip, which made our experience even better. The room had everything that is needed for an extended stay. See the pictures I have added. The room (King) was spacious, and it even had a sofa with a table to chill with family/friends. We also received a complimentary bag with two bottled water and a small bag of chips. During the day, they also catered to our request for water bottles as complimentary. The hotel room is at a walking distance from the stores and restaurants. It is really a great central location to everything in Corpus Christi, while the beach is only 30 minutes away. The next day, the hotel allowed us to check out an hour later, which helped me get ready and stay ready for my formal meeting. We had a superb experience staying here, totally recommend others, and I will look for other Home2 Suites during our future travels. Also, the team at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Thank you!

This was my first time at a Hilton owned hotel in 15 years and I'm please to say it did not disappoint! My wife and I frequently visit Corpus Christi but usually stay at another hotel but, this trip we had 4 of our children and 2 dogs so the other hotel could not house all of us. The customer service was excellent! I wish I could remember the young lady's name who called me prior to arrival to tell me there was a problem with my reservation then corrected herself when she realized she didn't read the notation from earlier in the day that it was taken care of lol! Think her name started with the letter "K." We got a laugh out of it when I arrived later that night. Also, a young man with long hair was super kind and professional. Everyone was! The hotel was bustling with families so it made the breakfast line a bit lengthy in the mornings but, it was no problem. The food was great and the area was always kept clean. One of our concerns before checking into our room was the potential smell of mildew which seems to be an issue in a couple of the other hotels we have stayed at in the area. I understand with the geographic location being so close to the ocean it makes sense that mold and mildew would accumulate over time. But there was no smell of mildew, no mold in the bathroom or vents, no dirty carpets or dead insects (nor living ones). The room was much bigger in person than in the photos and the location was a favorite for my wife and oldest daughter who are shopaholics in denial.
