I was in your Corpus Christi store located in La Palmera Mall on Wednesday November 4th 2015 to purchase new lenses for my son’s glasses. First of all let me note that when I told them that I did not want a new frame I simply wanted to put his new prescription into his old frame no one advised me that there were risks of breaking the existing frame when putting in a new lens. Having said that, when we went back to retrieve the glasses the technician was adjusting his glasses for a fitting and the frame broke. The female technician that broke the glasses was very apologetic, but the manager whom she called over to alleviate the situation was glib and rude. First of all they came over with a replacement frame that was identical to the one they had broken, they were already fitting the new lenses into this new frame before they even looked at my account. They never apologized for breaking the frame and I could tell they were trying to figure out how they were going to fix the situation without anything having to come out of the company’s pocked. After they reviewed my insurance they advised me that I had credits to purchase a new frame and that he would waive the portion that my insurance would have to pay. He said this to me as if he was providing me an enormous favor. Favor I think not because your company was still charging my insurance for a new frame. I asked why the original frame broke, first they said it was because of his prescription, to which I asked well if you are putting it in an identical frame doesn’t this frame run the risk of breaking also, then promptly changed their answer to say that the frame I brought in was old and cracking and looked like it had powder on it and that is why it broke, they even accused my son of cleaning it with something like alcohol which would dry out the frame. Let me state that the only thing my son uses to clean the frame and lenses are a lens cleaning solution that your company provides. At this point I just wanted to leave the store because I was exasperated. Is this how your company is run, taking advantage of customers? What if I hadn’t had a credit on my insurance for a new frame, what would have happened then? And then you go and bill my insurance for a frames, if I’m going to be charged for new frames why not ask if we wanted to look at a new style instead of just picking out the same frame he had. The whole reason for keeping the original frame was because I was trying to save money. I am a single mother working two jobs trying to make ends meet and this is what I had to deal with and let me tell you I am livid. I can tell you right now that if you feel that this is the proper way to deal with customers, I will never bring my business back to your company. FUGLY! THIS 2024 Christmas TREE & *BACKGROUND photo with SANTA, decor was FUGLY! I don't know who decorated or picked out the decor but it was the worst one ever! And, I do mean *EVER! It was as if the GRINCH picked out & decorated the tree and background. The colors were so ugly & gloomy; like something that was dug out of a trash bin or dumpster and then used to decorate. The tree decorations and the background for the photos with SANTA, were not at all festive nor cheerful. I would, FIRE WHOMEVER PICKED OUT THIS 2024 YEARS CHRISTMAS COLOR SCHEME for the Christmas decorating. UGH! YUCK! IF FUGLY, UNINVITING AND AND COMPLETELY REPELLING OR UNWELCOMING is what they were aiming for-then they NAILED IT! The colors& overall ambiance was so dark and gloomy. The decorating color scheme is like something straight out of a funeral parlor. I've seen Hospitals and FUNERAL HOMES with more LIVELY color schemes. I'm NOT THE ONLY ONE, who says or feels this years decor was just AWEFUL! Other people and shoppers that my family & I spoke with, all agreed - that the decorations, tree and background for the photos was just so FUGLY & AWEFUL. A LOT OF people thought & think the same. What happened to the POLAR EXPRESS? THAT-THAT THERE WAS 100% RIGHT ON THE MONEY!
