I’ve been a customer at the Corpus Christi Ojos Locos for years, always enjoying the great service and prices. But on November 19, 2024 at 5:37pm while I was enjoying my meal inside the restaurant, one of their customers hit the side of my vehicle as she was reversing which was all captured on video. It was captured on my personal dashcam however it wasnt good enough to read the license place. Because we were parked directly in front of their cameras I felt okay, because it seemed like an open and shut case. I asked the restaurant for surveillance footage but was told they dont have access to that. The local staff was fantastic and tried to help, but because they don’t have access to the footage we hit a road block. The manager Roberto told me I would need to email security@ojoslocos.com which i did right away. When trying to request the footage the response i received was that they can only release the footage to my insurance company or the police.
Although I found it really ridiculous they couldn't provide me with the footage of the accident because of some goofy policy I had to follow the process and had my insurance company reach out. My insurance company called me back informing me that Ojos is charging a $250 fee for a 3-hour minimum to get the footage even though I have provided the exact time a date the incident occurred. $250 is the same as my deductible, and any fee to get footage of an accident that occurred outside your premises and to prevent access allowing the store to gain access in order to charge some ridiculous fee is disgusting. As a longtime customer who got hit on their property, I shouldn’t have to shell out that much just to get the needed help.
The Corpus Christi team isn’t the problem, they’ve been awesome. This is on corporate and their disgusting blackmail policy. It feels like they’re holding the footage hostage for profit. Since the higher-ups want to play this game, I’m leaving a one-star review to affect them where it matters in order to let their customers know how corporate treats customers when they are involved in an accident on their property. People deserve to see this. Shame on those in charge.

Read moreI decided to stop by Ojos Locos after my shift was over just to see what it was all about. Sure the girls are dressed in basically bathing suits. It’s not a strip club vibe at all.
The bouncers and security guards were super nice and showed me where I could sit at the bar. Erica was great. She and Mercedes are my favorite bartenders. I was surprised that the kitchen is open until 11 pm on Wednesdays (they close at midnight) so I tried the nachos. Boy was I ever surprised!
A Dos Equis — dressed — in a cold mug and nachos are the perfect treat after a long shift in retail. Plus sports. And they have a DJ! I’ve been back several times and will work it into my weekly schedule.
The nachos are the best I’ve ever had. Now, I ordered the carne asada nachos (by the way, 1/2 price apps on Wednesdays). Each chip is the perfect bite: refried beans, diced jalapeños (diced! not rings), cheese, and carne asada. In the middle, they have pico, guac, and sour cream. This is a meal or a nice app to share.
One of the side benefits of hanging out at Ojos is the respect I get as a woman. There isn’t a creepy vibe and some of the guys say hey how are you but everyone is super polite. That makes me feel really safe and comfortable. Plus, now I know where I can watch football this season!
I don’t seem to see Erica on the weekends though, which...
Read moreHorrible experience! I've been to other ojos locos around Texas in the past but this one was the worse of all! A simple hand gesture to ask for assistance turned into an argument that had the disrespectful manager and his belligerent security KICKED OUT. My colleague waived what we thought was our waitress, tapped her shoulder for assistance and she BARKED at him! She shouted, "DONT EFFIN TOUCH ME! I'LL HAVE YALL KICKED OUT!" My other friend tried to de-escalate the situation. She spoke with the waitress and manager but it was clear the did not want to understand the customers side of the story. It's clear this establishment does not take care of it's customers. It's clear that this establishment is only for profit and takes care of its OWN. Ojos locos is a chain restaurant so I truly hope Upper management reads this and handles the manager that was clocked in at the time. He should be suspended or fired at the least. I expect to receive a response from ojos locos. Otherwise, more complaints will be received and...
